While everyone was still shocked at the events happening in front of them, Theodore took Elena's hand and bent his head to plant a kiss on her hand. Some of the guests and brothel guests gasped in shock, courtesans were to be given a handshake. Kisses on the hands were reserved for the royal ladies. Fife sighed inwardly at Theodore's mistake. Elena was pleasantly surprised at Theodore's action. Today was the first time anyone had kissed her on the hand, although she was highly sought after by many men, they had never treated her like a person but like a trophy which must be attained at all cost.
