บท 121: After

Kim finally woke up by 10 PM. Carl was resting his head just beside her. As she moved, she winced in pain. The anesthesia had worn off. Carl immediately got up, "Are you okay?" He asked, hovering around her, he wasn't sure where to touch. "Does it hurt a lot? Should I call the doctor?"

There was a sheen of sweat on his face and his hands shook. His nervousness could not be hidden. Seeing him so worried, Kim forgot about her pain as she smiled at him, "It's fine, sit down."

He paused for a few seconds before sitting down, "You must tell me if it hurts." She nodded at him.

Remembering what had transpired earlier, she lowered her head, "Madam George…"

"She's fine."

She let out the breath she was holding. "That's good."

"Yeah." He muttered.

"You should rest, don't think about anything, when you're better, I'll take you to her."
