Lyle?" A kind voice asked quizzically. The man's voice was pleasant like a mountain stream, quiet and gentle.

Lyle nodded, then remembering that Zamir could not see, he replied, "Yes. You can already recognize my voice. That's impressive!"

Zamir laughed, "It is not as impressive as you claim. If I may ask, what brings Mr Lyle to the registration building?"

He was so polite, he reminded Lyle of the gentle scholars written about in classics or acted in ancient movies. Zamir's silver cane clicked quietly on the ground as he made his way closer to Lyle.

Lyle stared at the man. "I wanted to choose some electives. What about you? Are you here alone or is Augustus with you?"

The man's smile turned even softer, "He is still sleeping. I wanted to check in with the exchange department."
