บท 134: Chapter 134

Festivals. There are many different sorts of festivals in the world, especially on earth. America has festivals that are more like parties than a real traditional festivals like Japan has.

Well, I guess China can also be compared to them. They are both very traditional countries. Although not on the best terms. Meh, not my problem at all.

Sadly, I only saw Japanese festivals in person, and the festival I was at right now gave me a nostalgic feeling toward those festivals where I went alone most of the time. The only time I went with someone was with my teacher and just once.

Guess I can add Kayda to that list now.

"Kitsu, I can't hit anything!" Kayda whined childlike next to me, holding a small air gun in her hands, looking down a firing range where there were 32 boxes stacked on shelves of different heights.

"Hmm yeah, I can see that you grazed only one out of your 12 shots, rawr," I said, monotone, not sounding interested.

"Tch, can't you care a bit more," Kayda said, pouting at my reply.

"I do care. It's not like it will fall even if you hit it, rawr," I said in a hushed tone.

"I know that I can feel the mana holding the blocks there," Kayda said, frustrated.

"Well, it's not impossible to win. You just need to hit it at the right spot, but it would be impossible with your aim, rawr," I said, shrugging at her.

"Hey, don't be mean. It's these guns. They are so shitty. So how should it be done? " Kayda whined, pushing my shoulder.

"Ha-ha, it's a magnetic mana tool or whatever he is using, but there aren't many of them, so they are spaced out. If you signal all the ones that are on the sides out and hit the at the top in the corners, you get your points." I explain tilting my head and looking at where I could feel the mana from.

"Oh great, so you can do it. Hey, owner, 20 shots for miss foxy here." Kayda said, bumping my shoulder while giving the owner the payment.

"oh, going for the big prize, I see." The man said with a devilish grin.

"of course, she better win it for me. Remember this. I want that teddy, okay." Kayda said happily, pointing at the human size bear behind the owner.

"Hey, why do I have to win something for you. I also want one of these." I said in the complaint, pointing at the standing dragon teddy at the back.

"..."

"..."

"Because I am your date." Kayda simply said with a straight face.

"But I am also your date, rawr." I retorted in annoyance.

"Kitsu," Kayda said, looking up at me, not very satisfied.

"Woah, Woah, no need to start a fight now. Let's do this. Seeing as you are today's first same-sex couple, I have an idea. Why don't we make a deal." The man said, making me glare at him the way he sounded.

"I am listening." Kayda and I said in unison.

"Okay, if you can hit all 20 shots and bump the boxes over, I will give you both teddies." The man explained, giving us another devilish smile.

"Okay, we can do that, but I get two test shots. They won't count obliviously if I down a box."

"Hmm, okay, deal." The stall owner said, nodding in agreement.

'The test shots won't matter. She won't be able to hit them over even if she hits the targets.' The stall owner said, laughing internally.

"Great, then let's get started, rawr," I said, picking up one of the guns on the table. I looked into the barrel by inspecting the rifle, noticing some weird things.

'I see, so that's why Kayda bullet or corks were going left the hole time.' I thought, looking at Kayda for a second.

'Well, that won't be enough to make it too hard.' I add, smiling.

"So, I just plop this in here and shoot, right, rawr?" I asked, taking a cork from the table and putting it in the barrel at the front.

"Yes, ma'am, just like that. The guns themselves will create the air pressure to shoot it.' the man explained, keeping his devilish smile.

"Uh, okay, rawr." I hummed, aiming the rifle at one of the bears at the back. I lined it up for the nose of the Bear and shot.

Poof.

'left low? Damn, it almost hit the Bear's shoulder. No, wander Kayda struggled so much. And it's so slow, rawr.' I thought thinking of solutions I could come up with.

"hmm." Humming to myself, I inspected the gun again. Seeing a small circle at the side of the pressing it a bit, I realized you could turn it. Playing with it a bit more, I decided to test the gun again.

Bang!

"Oh, that's way better," I said, satisfied although the cork missed the Bear again and much more than the first time. The speed of the cork was much better than the first test, probably because the air pressure is way more now.

"You ready." The owner said, a bit nervous.

"Yes, now bring it on, rawr," I said and started to aim at the 32 boxes.

Bang.

"Oh, she got one." One of the onlookers said, surprised.

"Hehe, one down, 19 to go," Kayda said, giggling.

Bang.

"And another."

Bang

"And another."

Bang

"And another one fights the dust. Ptataaa." Humming myself an old crappy song to myself, I reloaded the air gun.

Bang

"And another one!" The crowd yelled, making me cringe.

"Ugh, please, no," I mumbled, not daring to look around at the crowd.

Reloading the air gun, I aimed at the next target.

Bang

"And another one!" The crowd shouted again. This time I looked, hearing someone familiar in between in the crowd, only to see Kayda etching on the crowd.

"Kayda, can you not make them do that, rawr," I said, already knowing the answer.

"But that song you hummed was funny," Kayda said smugly.

"It's embarrassing, Kayda, rawr," I said, making my illusion blush a bit.

"Heh, but it's cute when you blush." Kayda teased, grinning like a pervert for some reason.

"Tch, how is it cute when I go all red in the face, rawr," I said, looking away from her.

"Ha-ha, don't you think I am cute when I blush?" Kayda asked, trying to act cute.

"... Now that I think about it, Katie and An, seeing as their skin is red, how do they blush?" I asked, changing the subject instantly.

"Wait, that's true, huh? Never thought about it." Kayda said with a thoughtful look.

"I see." Taking the opportunity of her distraction, I aimed at the next target.

Bang!

"And another one!"

"Fuck! It didn't help." I said, annoyed at the crowd going on without Kayda.

"Ha-ha, you failed," Kayda said, laughing mockingly.

"Tch, whatever."

Bang

Bang

Bang

I shot down the last couple of boxes, ignoring the crowd behind me.

"They're all done, rawr," I said, sighing.

"Woah!!! She did it!!"

"All 20 targets down!"

"Tch, They are so loud, rawr," I said, covering my ears.

"Even though I got these new earbuds made, they are still useless in the end.' I thought in annoyance, freezing my ears over again.

"How, how can this be. I went through so much trouble to get those."

"Oi, I won our bet. Give us our teddies, rawr," I said, holding out my hand at the guy.

"You, you cheated!" the stall owner shouted angrily at us.

"What nonsense are you blabbing now. Tch, I won our bet, now give me my dragon teddy." I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

"There is no way you are able to hit 20 shots in a row and knock the boxes over that easily!" The man went on with his rant about us apparently cheating.

"Well, look again, dumbass, I just did it, rawr," I said, annoyed, pointing at the boxes knocked over.

"I have magnets under each of these boxes, making it almost impossible to knock them over!!" The stall owner shouted, making a few people behind me gasp in shock.

"Oh, is that so? So, you said I cheated, but you have been doing that from the beginning?" I said, smiling at him.

"What are you talking about?" The stall owner said, getting paler at the second.

"Sigh, I don't care. Just give us our rewards, and we will leave," I said, sighing again.

"F-fine here." Giving up, the stall owner handed over the two teddies.

"Thanks, rawr~." I turned to Kayda and threw hers over her head, taking both of them.

"There is yours. Enjoy, rawr."

"Hehe, thank you, Kitsu," Kayda said, smiling happily at me.

"Wait, didn't the stall owner say something about making it impossible to knock over the boxes?" Some random person in the crowd said, sounding very angry.

"Yeah, so we wasted our money on this game because of this guy's greediness." One of the spectators said, not sounding very happy.

"Ah, let's get out of here before everything comes to shit, rawr," I whispered to Kayda, pushing her out of the crowd.
