บท 41: Chapter 39
With me taking over what my father had, my mother can finally divorce him. It took five years to make this happen.
My father and mother have come to an agreement about Chinatsu's custody. Chinatsu will live with my mother, but she will keep my father's surname, Hayase.
I told my mother and Chinatsu that I could help her change her surname, but they both declined. My mother wanted to handle the divorce without my interference, and Chinatsu preferred it that way too, letting mom manage everything.
And my lawyer mentioned that it actually could benefit her if my father remarries. Cause when he passes away, Chinatsu would be entitled to inherit part of his wealth.
Another things, my mother didn't receive much from the marriage except for a small villa near the beach in Izu, which she got as a wedding gift.
Personally, Chinatsu doesn't care much about all that—as long as she can stay with me and our mother, she's happy.
Sigh... This whole situation has drained me mentally. I've always realize that relationships aren't just about fuck then having children. Honestly, I sympathize with my mother a lot. I'm determined to do right by her, especially now that I have the majority share of the Hayase Group.
I know I grew up with Grandpa, but it doesn't feel right to think of her as a stranger. After all, she was there for the past Masamune.
"Ma-kun, do I really deserve this?" my mother asked.
"Yes, of course. I'll do anything for you and Chinatsu. Anyway, are you not happy with this place?" I replied.
My mother, Makabe Kinue, quickly shook her head. "No, no, no! It's not that. I love it. I just worry that this place must cost a lot because of its location. Besides, you should be saving that money for your own marriage."
I chuckled a bit. "Don't worry, Mom. Your well-being is far more important to me. My wish is for you to start fresh here. Your cooking is delicious, and you make the best coffee every morning. I'm sure you'll do great running this cafe."
Hearing this, my mother started to cry. "Ma-kun, you're so kind. After everything that happened, you still accept me as your mother. I really don't think I deserve this at all."
Seeing her. I felt like, my mother sometimes acting like, um... a kid? Yes, she's really soft that I kinda felt she could break anytime.
"Alright, there, there..." I pull her to my hug, as she clench her arms tightly, "In any case, a son can't divorce his mother." Hearing this she's sobbing even more and buried her face on my chest.
Since my sister will continue her study to junior high school in Tokyo. I'm buying a house for us in Shibuya.
The reason is simple, my mother has some culinary background as a chef and I thought she might want to start something like become cafe owner.
So, I bought this building that has three stories.
On the ground floor is where she will be running the cafe. This building faces two different roads, so I split the ground floor in half—one side for the cafe, and the other for the garage. Meanwhile, the second and third floors have become our home. I actually renovated this building a year ago, so we can start using the space right away.
After sometimes she let go me as her snot left on my t-shirt.
"KYAAAA! Wh-what have I done?! Stay still, mom will take care of it." She said with determination in her eyes.
I've always said that my mother is like a kid at heart. She has the body of a mature woman, yet—ahem! I'm not a freak—she has the spirit of loli. What I mean is, she's incredibly good handling the kids. She'd make a great kindergarten teacher because of how well she connects with them.

As I looking at her. Kinue's eyes looking down. It took her a second to realized, she looking at my upper body, and she blushed deep red.
"KYAA! I'm sorry! Mo-Mom will take this. You should take a new clothes!"
Kinue running away with my shirt as I thought. She's a little bit, hm... let's stop here.

Onii-chan has become a new person after he left.
Before that, he's just chubby boy who always crying and get bullied all the time. I once heard the kid from his school calling him a pig leg. Beside how awful his health is, father always push Masamune until he give up trying.
Masamune from before doesn't have anything good except, he's coming from wealthy familly. However, he's now completely change himself, as if he's not the same Masamune I remember from five years ago.
When I heard that he was taking over the Hayase Group for us, it made me feel like I also had to do something to help him. In two days, there will be an entrance exam, and I'm going to take first place so that Onii-chan will see me speaking as the freshman representative.
That's why, I've been studying in my room after we move to our house. And, I stopped any kind otaku hobbies I have.
Still, when I heard he said that; I should rely on him more than before. As I expected... Onii-chan, he's don't have sister complex right? Keke~ what a hopeless brother he is.
Well, it's remind me that he's telling me, he'll never date someone because it's annoying. That's really concerning as well, because, there's no way we keep dating right? No no no no! Don't mistaken dear me, I accept that before because he's so hopeless.
Hahahaha! I can't wait to see my friends reaction when I bring him later with me. It'll be fun.

I tilted up my head, "Huh?" What was that? That sound is coming from his room.
Since I'm concern about that, I went to Onii-chan's room.
"What are you doing?"
Looking at him in very unmused way as possible. With only his tight boxer. He's currently, doing some kind pose.
"Ah, sorry. Did I disturb your study? I'll quite down my volume so closed the door and comeback studying."
He said and... continue looking at himself to the mirror.
"Uh... okay."
Closing the door, I pressed my ear against it, wanting to make sure he hadn't gone crazy.
This amazing feeling I have now! Magnificent!

Should I worry? Probably not.
I came back to my room as I remember my friend told me, boys always do something funny inside their room.
