บท 69: Chapter 69; Bound To Fail

Poppy stared, shocked by his request. She can't believe he wants her to poison Imogen, why? It is just so cruel to a girl who has never done anything to him.

Maybe her only sin was being Simon's woman, but none of it was her fault. She is just as helpless as any other slave, just like her.

"I.....I... Please take my life, but I don't think I can do it" She said and got on her knees while Lucien looked at her with no emotion written on his face.

"Oh," He curled his lips and squatted at her level, and raised her jaw, in a hurtful way.

"Then you won't mind if I inform your former master where you are now, I saved you from your brutal master who wanted you and your son dead. If I let him know about your location, he won't hesitate to come to find and kill both you and your son. Or will it be better if I do it myself, I mean kill your son and hand you over to him" Lucien threatened and Poppy's eyes flickered with different kinds of emotions.
