Zed's consciousness felt thousands of swords stabbing him. The pain was far worse than the severest of physical injuries since the agony was directly felt by the brain.

"Is this the best you have got?" Zed asked with a smirk, "Surely you don't think this can entrap me forever?"

"You've got guts," the voice said with some appreciation, "Let me see what gives you so much confidence for someone with such a pitiful past."

The voice didn't really think the kid has the ability to harm him. While he wasn't in the top echelons of the world, he was confident only a negligible number of people can be a danger to him!

There were no chances of this bastard kid being one of those people! Still, he wanted to see more of the kid's memories and know where his confidence originated from.

His client has asked him to torture the kid, so he didn't mind prolonging the pain. Making the kid feel multiple emotions would be the best form of torture.
