"Princess Matilda, what did you tell Father?" Andrew questioned her after he took the seat across from her on the chair. "Wasn't Princess Matilda supposed to tell me first?" He looked disappointed and upset.
"I thought it would be better if I spoke to the King of Escana directly," Matilda stated.
"Why does Princess Matilda not like me?" Andrew inquired.
"I like Prince Édouard from the time I heard he is fighting against the Gavaria army. If I stay here for long, I will not be able to live happily. That's the reason I do not want to marry Prince Andrew," Matilda stated.
"My question was different, Princess," Andrew said. It hurt him because Matilda didn't even see him in front of Édouard. He made good efforts to make her happy. Yet, she didn't even mention that.
"I had no intention to marry Prince Andrew from the very beginning. I came here to win Prince Édouard's heart, which I could not do," Matilda gave an honest answer to Andrew.
