"Father, did any response come from Escana?" Matilda asked her father.

"There is no news regarding that. I believe they are on their way to Gavaria," Esther replied. "Also, it is late at night. Shouldn't be the Princess in her room?" he asked his daughter.

"I should be, but I am desperate to get the reply," Matilda replied.

"Don't be, my daughter. I will fulfill your wish and make you marry Prince Édouard," Esther asserted and smiled at her. Matilda thanked her father for fulfilling her wishes.

"I would like to see my daughter ruling over the Escana kingdom," Esther stated.

"Of course, Father. Your daughter will do what the war could not do," Matilda said with a bright smile. She bowed to her father and asked him to sleep early. "Do not forget to take your medicines, Father," she said and left the chamber.
