After having the evening tea with Charlotte and his mother, Édouard left the two alone for the conversation and he went to find out what made Charlotte cry.
From the head steward, Édouard found out that Charlotte met the King, but he was unable to find out what conversation they had. He knew Charlotte would not tell him, so he went to his father.
To his surprise, he saw Matilda coming out of his father's chamber. Matilda's gaze met his and she lowered her eyes to show a curtsy to him. Édouard did not return her greetings because she was another villain in his life.
They both walked toward each other. He walked past her and did not stop even though Matilda asked him to.
"Prince Édouard should tell Princess Charlotte that I am ready to know about Prince Andrew," Matilda's statement stopped Édouard midway and he frowned. He had no idea what she was talking about and he turned around to face her.
