บท 7: The Intruder
One Year Later...
Wu Hu Fei and Wen JunShi's relations were no longer platonic anymore. For the last year, Wu Hu Fei had not only became Wu JunShi great protege but also his best friend. The big role inside 'her' heart from Huang Ke disappearance still remained deep within her but a ray of light had entered 'her' life which turned 'her' aloof nature into warm charisma. JunShi had pestered her nonstop to the point that 'she' started accepted him as 'her' best friend. JunShi was indifferent towards 'her' ugly outward appearance and treated 'her' with respect, kindness, and true affection.
"Master..., could you tell me what type of woman that a man like? I don't know what I was lacking for a man to reject my beauty perfection. My body is ripe and luscious, my skin is porcelain-like, and my beautiful heart-shape face will put many women to shame. As the only woman in the dark forest, why instead approaching me, Wen JunShi was rather spend all of his time with Master and ignored this unblemished beauty?", asked Ting with a heavy sigh while looking at Wen JunShi with great adoration.
At that time in 10 feet distance inside their dwelling cave, Wen JunShi that looked so handsome and alluring was sitting on the big log in front of the campfire and immersed in grilling his cuisine specialty, the pheasant barbeque. His talent in culinary would put any chef to shame being that his heavenly tasty homemade food was worth dying for.
"Ting..., I didn't know what qualities that man looking for in a woman. But as his best friend of one year, I knew that he honored honestly, authenticity, honor, faithfulness, reliability, and virtue. He befriended me despite my monstrous outward appearance. His pure acceptance was the reason I give way to the friendship relationship between us". Answering Ting question, Xiao Fei thought to 'herself' that 'she' never like any female in 'her' life. Admitting to 'herself' that 'she' was bent, for loving Huang Ke like a woman toward a man. 'She' anticipated of hugging him, kissing him, and even the taboo intimacy between men that 'she' had indulged". How could 'she' know what quality that man like in a woman?
"Hu Fei! The pheasant barbecue is ready!". JunShi was walking toward 'her' resting area and gave 'her' the biggest portions of barbecue meat twas still on the stick, while Ting and himself only got a leg part each.
Ting was rolling her eyes in disbelief while mumbling to herself with dissatisfaction in a little voice.
Right after they finished eating, Xiao Fei's mental eye detected something sinister was lurking in the dark.
"Watch out!!", 'she' shouted when flying daggers were moving like a swoosh of wind towards them.
'She' raised up her aura instantaneously to create a shield array by whirling her magical power in a circular motion. Immediately, right before the daggers could penetrate their bodies, a blue sphere array that looked like a luminous pearl in a deep ocean contained them inside to shield them from the incoming flying daggers. Upon impact, the poisonous daggers that touched the shield array were shattered into pieces like broken icicles.
After 'she' was sure that the culprit was no longer attacking them but instead the evildoer had run away, 'she' drew back 'her' magical power and chase after the flying intruder using 'her' magical flying skill, followed by Ting and JunShi on foot since both of them could not use magical power. The culprit wore a black robe, thus only with a full moon as the only light source, it was hard to see which direction he ran to. However, Xiao Fei was able to chase him with 'her' eyes closed, using her mental power.
The intruder happened to see that the merman was able to chase after him with 'his' eyes closed, also 'his' flying skill was superior to him for 'he' was able to chase him closely from a starting point at a great distance apart.
Thinking that there was no way he could evade 'him', he whistled for help. Black smoke rose from the ground and manifested into a giant black panther. "Roar...Roar!". Howling to show its magnificent prowess, the giant panther was standing by to attack anyone who would dare to pass its territory.
Xiao Fei didn't even flinch when 'she' saw the giant panther, instantly she summoned 'her' lighting sword and she passed the malicious beast to aim a big slash still in a flying mode to chase the black robe man. "Slash!!". The beast's body was slashed in half from head to tail. Its screamed in a high pitch sound painfully and sorrowfully, within seconds it turned into an array of diminishing black smoke and no trace of life was left behind. The black robe man was stunned with disbelief when he saw the formidable Merman slew the formidable beast without drawing her breath.
In the past year, Xiao Fei had slain many dark beasts without any drop of sweat. 'Her' formidable and extraordinary magical power had reached the last immortal stage within one year.
Unable to halt 'her' any longer, the intruder stopped running. They stood up face to face...
"Very impressive, I never thought that a Merman could be as powerful as you! Merman was known to be dull-witted and lack of magical power but your magical power is at the last stage of immortal, soon you would reach the gold immortality! How about we become an ally? You are not my target after all..", the gloomy light from the full moon was able to illuminate the black robe man face. It was an evil face of a burly middle-aged man in a mortal year, however, in immortal year, he probably about 30 thousand years old. His eyes slanted toward his temple and thin lips grinned maniacally. Right away using her mental eye power, 'she' was able to distinguish that the evil man was not to be trusted.
"Why did you attacked us?", 'she' asked with a calm voice.
"I just want a person in your group to die. It is a dead or alive mission from my powerful master. Either he died or I have to pay the price with my life. Let's help each other, Merman!".
The ominous intonation of the evil man was making 'her' uncomfortable like a thousand worms slithering inside her gut, 'she' didn't want to kill the man but it seemed 'she' had no option in order to protect JunShi.
"In your dream, evildoers! I would never betray my friend! Today is the day you would cease to exist!".
Right after 'she' finished 'her' sentence, 'she' charges into him with a tremendous magical power attack, a sphere of light was coming out from 'her' palm. It missed the evil man by a little margin and hit the giant tree next to him twas turned into a wreck within the powerful impact.
At the same moment, Ting and JunShi arrived with a noisy exhalation and inhalation like a starving fish while holding their chest and knee, for they had been chasing after Xiao Fei and the intruder on foot relentlessly. Looking up, they saw Xiao Fei and the black robe man was fighting in the air using their magical power. Blows after blows of magical sphere flew all over the place, instantly, their surrounding areas were turned into barren land.
Wen JunShi looked at the black robe man face that was illuminated by the full moon with disbelief and a surge of understanding finally hit him. "Lao Shu..., you are a traitor!!!", he shouted at him with great disgust.
"HaHaHa..., I never pledge my loyalty to you, Wen JunShi, how could you define me as traitor?!!". The black robe man was able to evade her simultaneously attacks even while talking to JunShi. The evil man's powerful aura was not simple, it seemed his aura had gradually became stronger and his magical power also increased in a fast speed.
Stupendous, Xiao Fei's eyes were widened with great intensity when 'she' realized what went wrong.
"Are you using the magical pill devilish booster? Just to complete your mission, you would sacrifice your conscience to be a devil creature?", Xiao Fei furrowed 'her' brows with great enmity.
At that same moment...
"Harrrr!!!", an ominous aura exploded within Lao Shu's body and he manifested into a devilish giant KingKong, tripled his original size. Hitting his chest simultaneously with both fists while roaring like a thunderbolt, he charged into Xiao Fei. Stunned with the evil man morphing, 'she' was unable to react on time. The devilish giant KingKong had planted a big blow on 'her' chest. 'She' was falling from the sky like a comet and hit the ground with a loud thud. Laying on the ground weakly, 'she' coughed and spat purple blood.
"Master!!!", Ting shouted hysterically. She ran toward 'her' but Wen JunShi was coming toward her at a faster speed with a worrisome look. Then he became fully aware of the purple blood on the side of 'her' lips, he paused in disbelief. "Purple blood? How come a mere Merman....?"
At that same moment he was thinking with incredulity, Ting went down on her knees to attend her master. "Master! Are you alright?!!"
Xiao Fei nodded weekly.
While Lao Shu went down from the sky and said cynicallyly with a loud thundering voice.
"HaHaHa..., I don't think you could still fight, merman! I believe you will die today instead of me!!!"
Ignoring Lao Shu malicious comment, Xiao Fei was struggling to sit down in a lotus position, knowing 'her' intention JunShi helped to lift her up, however, a powerful murderous intent shook him to the core.
"Take this!!". Lao Shu attacked them, not willing to give up his chance to kill all of them like squeezing an ant.
Instantly...
Having no option to protect his best friend, JunShi unlocked his vital acupuncture areas to unleash his magical power. A great surge of power emanated from his entire body just like a fire torch and he was able to wave out Lao Shu's magical attack with his inner aura just with the tip of his finger.
Lao Shu..., today you would discover the mystery of the void realm of death!"
"HaHaHa..., so do you..., Wen JunShi! Nobody can save you from the Demonic of a thousand bugs poison..., you just triggered the poison! Such a shame!!"
Wen JunShi charged at Lao Shu with all of his emanating power right into his black heart.
"Boom!!"
The great sphere of magical power went through Lao Shu chest, a big hole manifest right where his heart was dwelling, Lao Shu gradually turned into black dust without having to say any last words, he was gone by the wind in a swoosh.
However, Wen JunShi poison was triggered into threshold capacity, unable to walk due to his extreme pain, he dropped down on his knees while howling with unbearable pain and agony.
Holding his chest tightly, consciousness started to leave him and his eminent aura was dissipated like an ice cubicle inside hot water. Today would be his doomsday but he had no regrets for he was able to protect Hu Fei, his one and only best friend. Staying by 'his' side had been a great achievement in his life and meeting 'him' was the greatest moment that would accompany him eternally.
"JunShi!". Having recovered from 'her' injury, she rushed out toward him. His lips had turned into bluish-purple, purple blood was oozing from the corner of his eyes, nose, and mouth.
"The Demonic of a thousand bugs poison! Despicable man!!"
Without waiting 'she' sliced her wrist with her magical power and dropped a great amount of her purple blood inside his mouth. She realized that JunShi's blood was purple just like her but she couldn't think anything special about it. She didn't know why having purple blood would cause such a big commotion in the heavenly realms.
Within minutes, JunShi color was back to normal, gone was the bluish appearance of a deadman replaced by mesmerizing golden skin color.
"JunShi!!!". Unable to contain 'her' happiness of saving his life, 'she' gave him a warm hug and said softly," JunShi..., from now on, you are my brother.., thank you for saving my life!"
Breaking the hug to look at 'her' with scrutiny, JunShi smiled with an agreement," Then I would call you Xiao Fei and you call me JunShi Ke, after all, I am older by 10 thousand than you!"
Xiao Fei nodded and called him just that. She was really grateful that JunShi Ke willing to risk his life to protect her. In this life, 'she' definitely would pay 'her' debt of gratitude toward him.
Then...
Her mind was wandering to Huang Ke, while the three of them returned to their dwelling cave. Tomorrow, the loophole to the Azures Dragon lair would show up and 'she' would finally able to save Huang Ke, 'her' one and only love in this life.
