As the pigeon continued its flight, the landscape below shifted. Coastal vistas gave way to rugged terrain, and the sparkling waters of the Adriatic gradually faded into the distance. The pigeon's flight path carried it over hills and valleys, a silent witness to the diverse landscapes of the region.

Finally, the distant silhouette of a city began to emerge on the horizon. Arta, the heart of the Epirotian Despotate, lay sprawled before the pigeon. The sprawling city, marked by its ancient structures and bustling streets, awaited news from afar.
