The night air outside the gala was sharp and heavy, a stark contrast to the chaos inside. Nathan and Scarlett sprinted through the back gardens. The echo of heavy boots grew louder behind them, the guards relentless in their pursuit. Scarlett's hand gripped Nathan's hand tightly, her heartbeat beating extremely fast.

"We can't outrun them forever," Scarlett panted, glancing over her shoulder.

Nathan's jaw was set, determination heated in his eyes. 

"We just need to find a place to hide away from those sons of bitches."

As they ran, for a while. They saw an uncompleted building and ran inside, as they ran through the building. The sounds of pursuit reduced, but Nathan knew it was only a matter of time before they were found.

"We need to split up," Nathan said, stopping abruptly.

Scarlett shook her head, her eyes wide with fear. 

"No. We stick together." She said as her voice was shaking.
