บท 48: Overwhelmed

Ana laid down quickly on her left side trying to slow her fast breathing and rampaging heart rate. She fumbled for her phone and checked the time waiting for the contraction to end. This one wasn't as painful as the ones she had in the car, but it was still hard to breathe through. She hadn't meant to get so upset but what Scott had said was appalling. Lying to her was normal in society? What? 

It was another twenty minutes before the next contraction hit but it was much lighter. Still painful enough that Ana sucked in a quick breath but was over very quickly. Ana tried to keep her thoughts neutral while she waited out her hour, but it was hard. Her thoughts were circling, and she was having trouble deciding where to start processing them.
