Idriz's arrival took Theodoric by surprise. He was training his army and was forced to stop them and get ready to meet his father-in-law. He who was full of sweat couldn't help but have to face him without changing his clothes.
Theodoric had prepared excuses in case his father-in-law later asked where his daughter was. And seeing Idriz get off the horse-drawn carriage, apparently, he was alone.
He bowed to his father-in-law and greeted him. "Good morning, Your Majesty King."
"Good morning, Theodoric. Ah, how are you?" he asked his son-in-law.
"I am fine, father. How about yourself?"
"Hmm ... I want to talk to you about something. So please, invite me into your palace, Theodoric."
"Oh, come on in, then."
They walked hand in hand and Theodoric led him inside into his living room. He then ordered the maids to prepare a feast for the King, who was his father-in-law.
