The woman paused in her excitement and stared at Clive with apprehension, " I remember that. But I thought that we were to remain in character all the time..."

Portia clutched at her chest and asked in a little voice," Why are you looking at me like this?"

"Like what? Like you have betrayed me? Because I think you have. Tell me, Portia, is my brother alive? Did you help him escape after all?"
