As I chewed on my cheeks, my attention fixated on Astera scolding the white-haired kid. There was something undeniably weird about him.

I couldn't shake the feeling of discomfort hovering over Jeghram and the kid. Their relation felt like they were borrowed from Maestro's novel, but with a twist of real-life unpredictability. I mean, the last time I peeked into Maestro's work, it only had a measly 225 chapters, mostly dedicated to Aidan and Sylvia's blossoming romance.

Glancing over at the pair, they were indeed engaged in laughter and playful banter, mirroring the scenes straight out of the novel. A wry smile tugged at my lips at the familiarity of it all.

That bastard Maestro had the audacity to kill off Sylvia after dragging out a hundred chapters of romance between her and Aidan.
