Louisa would not, even at the slightest provocation of the stray fly which was sizzling near her mouth, remove her stare from Mrs. Phellipe who was stepping quickly towards them. The strength in her shortly gait made her as one of those Amazonian women. But that alone wasn't the reason why Louisa had continued to stare her way.
