She turned and walked toward the elevator.
When Canary was in his office he remembered his conversation with his father the previous night and decided to look more into Joel's work and records.
He called and asked Micheal to do for him the research.

Joel was in his office when his assistant walked in.
" Mr Rivers ," He said, stepping forward, "I overheard something… about Canary. He's looking into your department's records. He's having Michael gather information about the financials."
Joel's eyes narrowed, the brief flicker of surprise quickly replaced by a calm, calculating look. "Is that so?" he murmured, leaning back in his chair, his fingers steepled together.
"Yes," the assistant replied, his voice low. "It seems like he suspects something, but I didn't hear exactly what."
Joel sat silently for a moment, considering the implications. Canary looking into his department's financial records could mean trouble if he discovered anything out of place.
It wasn't just about the numbers—it was about control.
"Thank you for telling me," Joel said finally, his voice smooth. "Make sure to keep an eye on things. We don't want any surprises."
The assistant nodded and left the room, but Joel's mind was already working.
He had to figure out what Canary was after and why he was suddenly so interested in his department. Was it just a routine check, or was there something more to it?
He knew that Canary was sharp—too sharp for his own good—and if he was starting to dig around, it could mean trouble for everything Joel had been working toward.

That evening when Joel returned back to the mansion he was welcomed by his sister Lucy and her husband Alexander sat right besides her in his wheel chair.
Alex put his soft smile as usual but today Joel was curious about Camary's sudden interest in searching about his work.
Joel knew he was the cause of Alex's accident and the reason why he is now in a wheel chair. But they all know that Alex lost his memory so Joel is sure that Alex doesn't remember whatever happened in the past.
Joel smiled darkly. He needed to stay ahead of this.
" Welcome back from work brother. How was it ?" Lucy who knew nothing asked.
" Good. I will go refresh first.." Joel said and went upstairs to his room.
While he removed his tie he thought about this,
' What if Alexander gains his memory and tells my sister about what I really did it to him ? What will I do ? '
He asked himself.
" I need plan B, Before anything happens. The company has to be mine by all means.'
Joel vowed and he changed into a towel to go and have a shower.

Saturday evening arrived, and Lisa stood in front of her small mirror, her heart racing with anticipation.
She couldn't believe it—her first date with Canary. A man so handsome and charming that just thinking about him made her cheeks flush.
Lisa had always kept her style casual, and tonight was no different. She chose a pair of fitted black pants and a light cream sweater that complemented her warm complexion.
She laced up her favorite white sneakers, the ones she always felt comfortable in, and gave herself a final look in the mirror.
Her wavy hair fell effortlessly over her shoulders, and she kept her makeup minimal—a hint of gloss on her lips and a soft touch of blush on her cheeks. Simple, but enough to make her feel confident.
As she slipped on her watch and picked up her small crossbody bag, her phone buzzed. It was a text from Canary.
Canary: I can't wait to see you tonight. You'll be the most beautiful woman in the city.
Lisa smiled, her heart doing a little flip. She quickly typed a reply.
Lisa: I'm almost ready. Don't flatter me too much or I'll be too nervous to come!
She chuckled at her own message before taking one last deep breath. This wasn't just any date; this was a moment she'd remember forever.
As she walked out of her room and locked the door behind her, she felt a mix of excitement and nervousness bubbling inside her.
Canary had always made her feel special, but tonight, she wondered if she could handle the intensity of his charm up close.
She was still inside when she heard the unmistakable sound of a car pulling up outside.
Her heart skipped a beat. She walked to the window and peeked through the curtain, spotting Canary's sleek black car parked by the curb.
Moments later, a knock on the door made her pulse quicken.
She opened it to find Canary standing there, effortlessly handsome in a tailored navy blazer over a crisp white shirt and dark jeans.
His presence filled the small hallway, his confident smile immediately putting her at ease.
" Ready to go?" he asked, his voice warm and inviting.
Lisa nodded, trying to steady her breathing. "Yeah, just give me a second." She grabbed her bag, double-checked that she had her keys, and stepped out, locking the door behind her.
Canary's eyes softened as he looked at her. "You look amazing," he said, his tone sincere.
Lisa felt a blush creeping up her neck but managed a shy smile. "Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself."
" I am always handsome. I know" Canary said proudly.
Lisa didn't argue cause that was true.
He chuckled and offered her his arm. "Shall we?"
Lisa hesitated for a fraction of a second before slipping her hand around his arm.
As they walked toward the car, she couldn't help but notice how perfectly they seemed to fit together.
He opened the passenger door for her, and she slid in, appreciating the thoughtful gesture.
As Canary settled into the driver's seat, he glanced at her, his smile widening. "I've been looking forward to this all week."
They finally set off from Lisa's place.
The drive was smooth, the city lights casting a warm glow over the quiet streets. Canary kept one hand on the wheel and held Lisa with the one. It made him so happy having Lisa close to him.
He glanced at Lisa every now and then, his smile soft and reassuring, while the low hum of the car's engine filled the silence between their occasional chatter.
As they approached their destination, Lisa's eyes widened.
The towering structure of the Grand Elysian Hotel came into view, its sleek architecture and glowing chandeliers visible even from outside.
It was one of the most luxurious places in the city—a place she had only seen in magazines or on social media.
Canary pulled up to the valet station, where a uniformed attendant stepped forward to open her door.
She hesitated, taking in the grandeur of the place.
"This is… where we're having dinner?" she asked, her voice almost a whisper as she stepped out of the car.
"Of course," Canary said, coming around to stand beside her.
He slipped his hand gently into the small of her back, guiding her toward the entrance. "Only the best for you."
Lisa swallowed her nerves, trying to focus on the moment rather than the extravagance around her.
The lobby alone was breathtaking—marble floors, towering pillars, and a golden chandelier that sparkled like a thousand stars.
"I feel like I'm underdressed," she muttered, glancing at her casual outfit.
Canary leaned closer, his voice low and warm. "You're perfect, Lisa. You outshine everything here."
His words sent a flutter through her chest, and she couldn't help but smile.
For the first time that evening, she let herself relax, trusting him to make this night unforgettable.
As they stepped into the elevator, heading toward the rooftop restaurant, Lisa stole a glance at Canary.
His confidence and charm were intoxicating, but beneath it all, she saw a man who was deeply attentive to her every reaction.
This wasn't just a date; it felt like the beginning of something extraordinary.
