บท 9: Chapter 08: "Wedding Day"

258 AC: The Crossing; Guests' Quarters

Tywin and Genna sat in silence by the fire place, reflecting and processing all of the new information that had been suddenly forced upon them, and all of which was visual information, making it even harder for them to comprehend. As the saying goes, "Seeing is believing." And what they say today was irrefutable proof that all of the outside information about House Frey and specifically their lord, Walder Frey was a bunch of horsehit.

"How can that giant...monster of a man be described as scrawny and weasel-looking?" Genna finally breaks the silence, expressing the absurdity of the rumors they had heard. At Genna's question, Tywin just remains silent and pondering as he stares into the dancing fire.

"And what is with those knights? They all look like iron giants!"

"Did you notice the spear that Lord Frey was holding?" instead of answering, Tywin asks a question of his own, focusing on the most pressing issue in his mind. As someone who was obsessed, and so desperately wanted to acquire a Valyrian sword for his house, to symbolize the great majesty of House Lannister, Tywin was naturally focused on the weapon he saw the monstrous man holding as he sat on his seat when he greeted them.

"What??" Genna looks puzzled, as to her it was a detail that she really didn't look into, as she was more focused on the man sitting on what can only be described as a throne.

"That was a Valyrian steel spear." Tywin says with certainty in his voice, "That spear was made of Valyrian steel!"

Genna's eyes widen, as she fully processed what Tywin was saying after the second time. Valyrian steel items are exceedingly rare, with any weapon forged from that material of legend able to fetch sky high prices. House Lannister even paid enough weight in gold that could raise an army for their ancestral valyrian steel sword, Brightroar. Yet suddenly, House Frey somehow was in the possession of a valyrian steel weapon that no one had knowledge of? This reality was truly frightening as it exposed just how little the world knew of this wealthy house.

"Genna, I think marrying into House Frey may not be a bad thing in the end. They clearly possess numerous secrets they have hid from the world, and I cannot say just what else they are hiding, your union may be a great opportunity to see what else this house has to offer." Tywin states, as much of his previous prejudice and disdain towards House Frey had been shocked out of his system.

"As I said before Tywin, I will do my duty. But I do agree that House Frey seems to hide much more than they let on." Genna replies, nodding in agreement.

"We will have to wait and see..." Tywin mused.

258 AC: 2 Days Later; The Crossing

Walder gazes at Emmon and Genna standing infront on the septon as they perform their generic vows. Emmon looked more intimidated than pleased at marrying the beautiful girl before him, as although Genna is but three and ten name days old, she stood taller than Emmon who was a fully grown twenty name days old man. Genna was bold and shrewd, while Emmon's nature had always been rather cowardly, as seen in the original timeline where he was cucked numerous times, with Genna bearing possibly all bastard children with no actual trueborn child with Frey blood, yet even then Emmon dared not question his wife's fidelity despite it being an open secret that she sleeps with many men.

'In this life Emmon is still being cucked, but at least it's not by multiple men, but only his father, so he should really be thanking me.' Walder thought with great amusement as he watched the farce, that was the ceremony. Walder knew that of all the religions of Westeros, the Seven was one of the only one's that actually weren't true.

'System, tell me about the overall situation on the gods of this world. Is my presence known to them, and will they pose any sort of threat or trouble to me?' Walder thought

*[Host, the current situation with the divinity of the ASOIAF Realm is very favorable. Due to hundreds of years of continuous clashing over sovereignty, most of the lesser gods have either perished or dissipated, with only the lesser god R'hllor remaining. R'hllor however is in deep slumber, his powers have deteriorated alot, and he will not be waking up any time soon. The dissipation of the lesser gods and the weakening of R'hllor is why the current ASOIAF Realm fell from a lower 12-Star Tier World to a lower 10-Star Tier World. ]*

"Lesser gods?" Walder inquires, now interested.

*[Yes Host, lesser gods. All of the divine beings of this realm have only been lesser gods of the lower 12-Star Tier Level, possessing OPs hovering around 12 750.]*

"How strong are those of the lower 10-Star Tier Level?"

*[Those of the lower 10-Star Tier Level tend to possess the OP of around 7000]*

"I see." Walder temporarily puts his thoughts aside, as he sees that the ceremony had ended, and the feast was about to begin.

258 AC: The Crossing; Banquet Hall

Tywin looks at the scene infront of him with complicated feelings, as at most of the tables sat these giant men, the Frey knights, which when compared to the knights Tywin had brought personally... made Tywin deeply ashamed, despite knowing there was no way he could top the Frey knights. Where in the world would Tywin be able to find so many giant knights. Tywin then glances at the lord who commanded such an imposing force, Walder Frey who sat next to him and thought secretly, 'He is more of a monster than these knights of his.'

No truer words had been said, because while the Frey knights were something to behold, Tywin thought that the Lord of House Frey looked like those heroes from those made up children books, as he really could not describe the man next to him aptly due to just how inhuman he seemed. 'And who is that woman?.' as Tywin directed his attention to the tall beauty with flaming red hair who sat next to Walder, what drew his attention even more was what was strapped to her chair. A big, menacing looking greatsword, that was gorgeous beyond any sword Tywin had ever saw, there was beauty in it's simplicity, as from the handle and cross guard alone, Tywin could clearly see the signs that it was a warblade, a weapon that had been forged in fire and blood, having seen extensive combat.

Walder, noticing Tywin's curious gaze at Reyanna and her sword, smiled and said, "Tywin lad, let me introduce to you Lady and Dame Reyanna, she is the knight commander of my knight order."

"Pffftt!" Genna giggles as she overhears how crass Walder addressed her brother.

Tywin's brows twitched at Walder's address of him, yet he dared not refute, as he was curious about so many things, and worsening their current relationship will be of not help to him. The mention of the lady before him was a knight, and not just any knight but the knight commander of the giant Frey knights was a truly surprising revelation. Instead of stating his doubts directly, Tywin asks tentatively, "Dame? Lord Frey."

"Aye, Dame. I personally deemed the title Ser to be rather unsatisfactory when addressing a lady knight, so I think Dame is much better suited." Walder replies, "And seeing you doubts, I will add that, with absolutely certainty, Lady Reyanna possesses the absolute strength and skill to have absolute obedience from my men. Not everyone can command and lead the knights I have under my rule after all."

Tywin was rendered speechless, as his young self was not used to the straightforwardness Walder spoke with, he was especially not used to having someone expose his thoughts so easily and directly without thought. Not even his closest friends antagonized him so, as he was the heir to Casterly Rock, the future Warden of the West, yet this lord of Riverrun dared to speak to him so.

Walder looks at Tywin who looked off-guard and seemed to have swallowed something sour and laughed inwardly, as it was clear the current Great Lion was still a cub and had not fully matured yet. As for the reason why he was tormenting young Tywin, was because...well firstly it was enjoyable, secondly he had received a mission from the system.

________________________________________________

MISSION:

• Cause the future Great Lion to have negative emotional fluctuations 7491/10 000 (E+ Rank) - [Reward: Land Buff]

________________________________________________

'Only 2509 more to go.' thought Walder, as he looked forward to the land buff reward.

Walder seeing that the bustle in the hall had settled down a bit, stands up to deliver a speech and toast to the newly wedded couple. "Welcome everyone, you all have my gratitude for joining me on this wonderous occasion of the union of two great noble houses.

May these rich blessings be your due…

A wealth of friendships, old and new,

Quiet nights and busy days, time for prayer and time for praise,

Some service rendered, some solace given,

And gentle peace with God and heaven.

To the two beautiful couple, Emmon and Genna Frey who will surely share many endeavors in the future. To the happy couple!"

"Ayyyyeee!!!" Walder's toast was treated with wonderous applause and enthusiasm, as even though the toast was not anything to special, by the standards of Westeros, it was definitely one of the most scholarly and poetic toasts that a lord has given. And due to Walder's extreme charisma and magnetism, he charmed all those within earshot and aroused their excitement as they felt they were truly part of something great.

Tywin felt even more doubtful, as there was no information in the reports that Lord Frey was such a well learned and literary individual. 'I need to execute and replace the informants when I return to the Rock.' thought Tywin, as this one trip had gave him too many surprises and frightened him greatly, as he realized just how vital information was and would like to not ever experience something similar again.

But as all things have to come to an end, eventually the feast drew to a close, and it was time for the bedding. But instead of the usual ceremony, Walder took it upon himself to carry both the bride and groomed directly to their quarters, as Walder wasn't about to let Genna, who even he hasn't fucked be seen by everyone. This with no surprise did not cause any dissatisfaction, as all of the Frey knights and Walder's children are deathly loyal and would dare not disobey Walder's thoughts, while Tywin personally disdained the barbaric process of the bedding, and did not allow any of his men to partake.

258 AC: The Crossing; Bridal Chamber

Walder kicks open the door, and places Genna and Emmon down on the ground, then suddenly...

*BANG

Walder knocks Emmon out call, startling Genna and eliciting a yelp, "Ahhh! Why did you do that Lord Frey?"

Instead of answering, Walder states, "Genna, as a member of House Frey, you have to swear an oath of eternal loyalty to me."

"Y...yes?" Genna was obviously confused by the turn of events, as no matter how smart she was, she could not anticipate Walder's action of knocking her husband out and then suddenly requiring her to swear an oath. But as she was quick on her feet, Genna decided to play along.

She moves forward and kneels down and kisses the ring on Walder's extended hand, and recites a simple oath of eternal fealty.

"Good girl." Walder smirks, then casts [INSPECT]
