258 AC: The Crossing; Outside Lord's Office
"Don't you feel Father is different from before?" Emmon asks the rest of his siblings as they exit the office.
"You think so too?" Stevron answers as he looks at Emmon.
"Father was scary before, but now he's terrifying, I could hardly breath with how he stared at us like prey" Perriane states with a shivers running down her spine as she recalls what happened seconds ago.
"Yes that's it! He is terrifying. And was he always so monstrously large?" Stevron says, clearly shaken.
"Now that you mention it, I never noticed father being so tall, and muscular at that. His forearm was bigger than my thigh!" exclaims Emmon at the new revelation.
"Fools, how can you know so little about your own blood." Aenys says, trying to act aloof, despite have severe doubts himself.
"I think we should go carry out our duties. I would hate to experience the consequences if we don't do as we have been ordered. Aenys you should go gather the knights." Stevron states, warning the rest of his siblings. Aenys nods grimly.
"I will stay here. Father told me to follow him, so I'll wait out here before he is done with Walder." Perriane tells her siblings, while pinching Luceon's cheeks, with Jared staring while trying to hide his envy for his sister's motherly affection.
"What sort of task do you think Father will give Walder?" Emmon asks curiously
"All I know it is not something we should know." Stevron again, being the more sensible one.
258 AC: The Crossing; Lord's Office
"I dare not my Lord." Walder Rivers immediately kneels down, with cold sweat streaming down his face. Despite his bastard son's denial, Walder saw right through him. 'Yeah right, who wouldn't resent being a bastard, especially in this world.' Walder thought while rolling his eyes.
"Don't lie to me boy! I know you do, you hate the name Rivers!," after a pause, Walder continues, "But fret not, I have a task for you, should you complete it, I will allow you to cast aside your unhonorable status, and legitimize you to become a proper Frey."
"Thank you My Lord!" Bastard Walder said ecstaticly.
"You possess my blood, son, and moreover my name. I shall grant you a heavy task that will allow to to become the shadows of our house, you will be the darkness necessary so there can be light!" Walder says passionately, trying to stir up emotions in his bastard son.
"Yes Father!" Bastard Walder could feel his blood roaring in his ears, as his heart beating so fast it felt like it was going to jump out of his chest.
"Walder, I task you to go to Essos, with your men, to go and buy me as many Unsullied as the money I'll give you can buy. Then I need you to smuggle them back to the Crossing, with whatever method you can. I will give you ten of my personal knights to help you on this journey. You must not be seen, you identity cannot be known, for otherwise you can bring us to our doom. Blend in the dark Walder, blend in the dark." Walder utters gravely. Making the task seem alot more serious than it was in reality, because it really wouldn't be too troublesome if other houses found out. But in order for bastard Walder to transform into dark Walder, the shadows of House Frey, who handles all the dark and dirty, this was a must. A divine mission needs to be embedded in his mind to ensure his efficiency and enthusiasm when completing his tasks.
"I'll obey your command My Lord, I'll complete the task with haste and perfection." bastard Walder almost shouts, his body shaking from the excitement he was feeling, euphoria passing through his veins.
"Go and prepare your people and set out in two days." Walder says
"I receive and obey!" bastard Walder immediately stands up, bows and strod with newfound confidence as he heads out the office door, closing it behind him.
"That was quite the show My Lord." Reyanna says, with burning passion in her eyes as she stares at Walder. To the point it made Walder's skin crawl.
"Aye, I have to make my preparations for the wars ahead." Walder nods in agreement at the performance he put on.
"Wars?" Reyanna rights her gaze, now looking curiously with a different type of enthusiasm.
"I forgot you are not of this world my dear Reyanna, or the fact we have only met today." Walder clicks his tongue in realization, as he remembers they had only just met. Yet it was strange, because he felt an unnatural closeness with Reyanna.
"I thank you for playing along with my performance Reyanna, it would have been a bit embarrassing had you not." Walder adds as he considers why he feels unnaturally at ease with Reyanna.
"Of course My Lord, it is my life's purpose to always be by your side." says Reyanna, smiling softly. Walder gazes at her, observing her face, from her soft lips wearing that twisted smile that could charm any man, to the flaming red hair she has tucked behind her right ear, then finally settling the most interesting eyes he had ever seen, they held the sweetness of honey and the softness of pastures after heavy rain, reminding all those that should gaze upon them of spring, those irises like the forest floor that stretched over the roots of trees between the cracks. 'She is truly beautiful.' Walder thought, as his fondness for her grew, becoming more like affection. All the while, Reyanna was staring blatantly at her lord, becoming more obsessed with him by the second. As he was her perfect type, an older, more mature, charming man, with that robust, muscular physique brimming with strength and power made her gulp. Walder exudes quite the unexplainable but overwhelming charm, due to his 100 CHARISMA stat. Do not underestimate a 100 CHARISMA, as this level completely dwarfs the average of 5 CHARISMA for the average human.
*NOTE: CHARISMA combines a person's personality, persuasiveness, personal magnetism, ability to lead, physical perfection, seductiveness, body language, noblility, manners, elegance, authority, and of course, attractiveness (looks) into one stat.
Walder was oblivious to this, while he was aware of Reyanna's infatuation with him, he did not know to what extent, and he certainly did not know her well enough for him to know what Reyanna was truly like. So at the moment, he was enchanted not just by her looks but also his idealization of what she was like, before this could go any further however, a knock suddenly came from the door, and Perriane pops her head into the office rather timidly, as if afraid.
"Father, you told me to stay by your side from now on, do you have anything you want me to do?" Perriane asked rather cautiously, as she realized she had interrupted something.
"Yes, Perriane. In the time I am looking for you future husband, I will teach you how to conduct administrative tasks, how rule a territory, how to play the disgusting game of politics, how to craft schemes and cause tragic accidents to befall on your enemies. I will also teach you skills that will allow you to have your husband wrapped around your finger to do your bidding." Walder briefly outlines his plan for Perriane, which will also be the plan for his not so attractive daughters. Why only the not so attractive ones? Well only Walder knows what his plans are.
'I want to take reference from Genghis Khan, and use my daughters to gradually spread out my influence through minor and medium size houses.' Walder thought. As for why not any of the major players in the game of thrones? Well, it's simple. The other major houses look down on House Frey, dismissing them as upstarts and toll collectors, which is an abt description, but unfortunately, they had greatly underestimated the original House Frey at that, much less the current House Frey being steered by someone who has decent knowledge of what future events are to come and a reincarnator's system.
Perriane takes time to digest her duties in the future, surprised by her father's ambitious and elaborate plans to spread his roots. All the while Reyanna stands behind Walder, staring at Perriane with an annoyed and rather enraged look. As Reyanna had felt in just a moment longer, Walder would have taken her right there and then in the Lord's office, a sacred place of work. 'Oh, how perverted of me. But it sounds so fantastic' Reyanna thought, with certain parts of her getting rather wet and bothered. Reyanna having come from a noble house herself, so being a proper lady, although a warlike individual, she still had some conservative and manners hammered into her bones, so the thought of indecent acts in such a risky and formal place turned her on greatly.
"I receive and obey your commands Father." Perriane having sorted out her thoughts, bowed towards Walder.
"Good, now then, let us head to the training grounds, it's time to show our knights, just how vast the world is." Walder stands up, stretching his back, as his chair and desk that was previously considered quite large had now become cramped and uncomfortable for Walder to sit there with his size. 'I need to have them replaced it would seem.' Walder thought silently, as he exits the office with Reyanna and Perriane on his tail.
