Brenna POV
The air was wheezing out of my lungs at the shock of it all. I remember being at the gazebo, but then what happened?
As I sat up in bed, it hit me. I had been outside before I passed out.
How the hell did I get back to my room?
I remember the call. I remember breaking my phone. I remember the wolf was there with me, and then everything else was blank.
Oh, that’s special, there went my phone. I mean, I only used it to talk to Kat, but still. I’d need to get a replacement soon. I’d also have to go outside and pick up the pieces. I didn’t want the wolf or any of the other animals to get into the litter I had left.
“Great, not only did you obliterate your phone, a squirrel probably tried to eat a piece by now.” I felt even worse than I already did.
I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that Scott called at all. How did he manage to get my number? It’s a burner phone. I ditched the smartphone he’d given me as soon as I left.
