บท 16: Acting

"Jack, there's no other place I want to be."

"I don't believe you." He lay back on his pillow and close his eyes. "Jack, you're tired. Just rest for me, please. I'll wait for you. Just rest."

"Lilly...hmmm..." His eyes stay closed. You stare at him and he's just laying there helpless and weak. Tears streaming down your cheeks. You hold his hand and lay your head on your arm.

(I won't leave you, baby, I won't. You fall asleep, holding his hand)

"Hey...Lilly." You open your eyes and the sun sting your eyes through the windows. you look up at Jack. the color is back in his face and he looks healthy. You smile. "Uhh..hey."

"You slept here all night?"

"Yes, I did. I said I won't leave you."

"I don't remember what happened after we talked in the club. Did I do or say something embarrassing?"

"No, not in my books. I'd say, you were just vulnerable and cute." His face turns bright red and he looks ashamed.
