บท 2: CHAPTER 2: ARRIVING AT THE 'ARC'
I had already taken a nice, cold shower after Alec had left saying he was going to his condo that he shares with another member -Peter, and was going to meet us at the party later. Ellie, who seriously loves doing other people's hair and makeup, did mine and hers, herself instead of asking our stylist to come over.
After a lot of contemplating, I finally decided on what I was going to wear. Before leaving, I took one last look in the mirror in my bedroom. My hair, medium-length, and wavy, dyed black with a sapphire ombre were kept down and the Azure blue dress made my sky blue eyes stand out really well.
"You really never can go wrong with blue, Kara, you know that" Ellie said from the doorway. "Thanks! Is the car here?" I asked. "Yea, come on. Let's get going" she replied. We walked to the elevator and finally stepped into the car.
I'm not too fond of this tradition but I was looking forward to tonight after finding out that the person hosting this is none other than the super hot, model and actor- Joshua Ryans, who has been my crush ever since I became a trainee at the age of 15 under oceans labels. He is 3 years older than me and is a close friend of Alec as they are the same age and attended the same, prestigious university.
After a 20 minute long ride, we had finally arrived. "Wow! Ryans really knows how to host a party doesn't he" Ellie exclaimed looking at the amazingly well decorated venue. "Yea, he does" I replied, smiling. The venue was huge and there were a lot of celebrities here in their gorgeous dresses.
As a celebrity, you have to try to be the centre of the spotlight no matter what. And it was clear they everyone here was doing just that. Even though this party was supposed to be for the rookies, the seniors definitely shone out more. However these seniors didn't look like they were from our company.
"Ellie! Kara! I also just got here. Ethan and Alec are already inside. A lot of idols from xx entertainment are here too. Apparently Joshua Ryans thought that it would be nice to make this a joint celebration for the rookies idols from both our labels. And our CEO agreed." Eunbi had just come up to them, wearing a sparkling rose-gold dress with her honey brown hair tied up in a loose bun.
"Is Joshua here already?" I asked hopefully. Eunbi sighed " yes, yes. That proud idiot is inside too. Come on" She led the way. Ellie met fellow singer Ruby Kwon on the way and stopped to chat with her while me and Ronnie made our way through the heavy crowd.
"Hey, by the way, what happened with Mike? Did things work out" Eunbi asked cautiously. "Nope. He's as stubborn as ever. He's supposed to be my brother and should support me but instead he's driving my own parents against me! I get that he's still hurt after losing the twins but he knows as well as anyone else that it wasn't my fault!" I was actually hurt, badly.
"Don't yell! I know you're hurting right now and your brother is too. And I can't believe I'm saying this but I think Peter is right. Just forget about your family for a while. They don't want to believe you then you shouldn't force them to. You've done more than enough. You've apologized countless times over, even though you had nothing to do with it. and if they're not ready to even bat a single eye then leave them be. Just know that the five of us will always be here for you" Ronnie said that so calmy and lovingly that I wanted to cry. "How did I get so lucky to have friends like you"
"Mr. Ryans. Lovely party! You're a great host" Eunbi said nudging my shoulder to look behind. It was him. Joshua Ryans. He looked beautiful as ever. He had blonde hair and blue eyes, with his skin tanned a little. He was wearing a navy blue suit with a white shirt underneath. *Thank you, miss Ryo. And Miss Silver, you look wonderful!" He said with a smile. I could feel Ronnie roll her eyes behind me, but I couldn't help blushing. "Thank you" I said with a small voice.
Then we heard an announcement that they were going to announce this year's leading rookie idols.
