บท 197: Earning Favorability (I)

BigSoftie climbed up the stairs and rapped his knuckles on the wooden door of Blacksmith Avad's room. 

"WHO?" A deep voice asked from behind the door. 

"Sir, I am Deathless BigSoftie. I wish to learn Blacksmithing from you." BigSoftie stated his purpose clearly but the figure behind the door was not in a mood to listen. 

"I am not taking in any new apprentices! Go away!" The same gruff voice shouted from behind the door, dismissing BigSoftie's request. 

The huge Natureguard stood before the door with a stunned expression but he quickly recovered and yelled, "Sir, I have brought your favorite Honey Mead from the Autumn Leaf Tavern."

Slow and heavy footsteps sounded from behind the door and the thick wooden door creaked open. A bloodshot eye with dark circles underneath peeked from behind the door at BigSoftie, expectantly checking his hands.
