All 3 of the skills were extremely good, but one choice was the clear winner. Crafter's bonus was the weakest, even though it could increase his fighting by quite a bit it was a little bit it couldn't do much past that. Cultivate Metal could not only make him stronger, but it could also let him sell his items for more when he was done with them. The one he took was a jeweler's inventory. It let him take items between dimensions and worlds, even if it was limited to crafting materials only. He was planning to make himself look like a mage, so he put his 2 unused stat points into magic, bringing its total to 14 plus 1 from the ring. This is why leveling up was such a big deal. The strength of skill points was nothing to be underestimated. Most people got a mix of class, race, or universal skills but he was only able to get class skills which increased their general quality.
Jake had nothing to place into his inventory, but he was still glad he now had it. This was the first time he had killed anyone, but he barely felt anything. Even in his homeworld power was the ruler, so school had conditioned him to deal with death like it was normal.
He sat down in the sand as he waited till the end of the day. He wanted to go to sleep but he had only woken up a few hours ago so he couldn't go back home quite yet. It was only an hour after when he was dragged out into the area again.
"And the next item for sale, we have a new slave. age 18, male, and a possible cultivator and fit enough that he would be a great gift for a daughter or son to play with."
Jake's eyes widened at the idea of being a slave to someone who he was gifted too. He was just new to the idea of being an object more than a living being.
The scout dressed in all red was a beautiful woman who looked to be in her late 20's, and immediately bid 10 silver on him.
"15 silver"
Said a man in the normal audience.
"20 silver"
Said the bulk, muscular man representing nature's beauty sect.
"45" said the woman in red.
"Going once"
"Going twice"
"And sold to hardened flame sect for 45 silver"
Jake's heart was pounding, wondering what would happen now. He knew how to fight, so the arena wasn't that bad, but who knows what would wait for him? Maybe he would be shipped off to be a miner for the sect, or be forced to be a training dummy for the members. He was sent out the door to meet the women, and his new owner.
She led him into a carriage just outside and sat across from him.
"What is your name, little one?"
"I-I-I am Jake miss."
He had never really stuttered before, or called anyone miss, but he wanted to seem weak in front of her in hopes of getting off easier.
"No need to be so formal Jake, you belong to the sect now. We don't believe anyone should be kept in slavery, so we buy young talent like you and only force you to stay until you have paid your debt. And when we have we hope you stay."
Oh.
He was happily surprised by this, maybe this world was not so bad.
"Your debt is 10 times what I paid, so 4.5 gold. You should be able to earn that in about 9 years in a normal job at the sect."
.
..
…
'Nevermind'
'This world sucks'
He thought. He was two days in and he had already accumulated almost 10 years of debt. He layed back and rubbed his eyes.
"Hhhhhh"
A large sigh was let out at this.
"Can I take a nap? I'm getting tired and I'm not sure how long the ride will be."
"It will only be a few hours, and I would like to talk but it can wait till we get there."
"Thank you ma'am"
He closed his eyes, then laid back and fell asleep.
