บท 156: Common Enemy

It was pretty easy to see what Ben was thinking. Ben was clearly comparing himself with Malcom at that moment. 

Probably because they were both Marked,  comparison was inevitable. 

What's so unique about Markeds? They were supposed to be strong magic users but end up having almost zero magic power to use when fighting, just like a crippled who lost their main advantage. 

Jamal felt like shaking his head. In fact, Ben was already amazing enough to get this far. He also knew that the level of magic was not the only advantage in a fight. 

He just hoped the young man would just focus on improving himself instead. 

"I hope he really could… the orcs were formidable…" Ben replied with a frown. 

"Malcom could take care of himself," Jamal replied with a smile before he rolled his eye at him. 

Ben saw him, and the way he trusted Malcom was extraordinary.
