บท 136: Clare vs Jonathan (2)

When Clare saw Jamal, she suddenly felt a bit of shyness because of the way she was dressed. 

She breathed before she pointed out while looking at him with displeasure, "You haven't slept at all!"

"I was about to leave, but I wanted to see if you were okay. I saw the light on, and I thought I would come over to make sure," Jamal replied with a smile. 

Clare looked at him and, walking towards him, and then she said with a grateful look, "Thank you for not letting me hurt anyone ... Well, besides you."

Jamal walked towards her. When he was standing in front of her, Jamal took the girl's hand, and he squeezed it lightly before he said, "You can never hurt me. Remember that, always."

His other hand went up to the young woman's face. Clare could not help but closed her eyes felt the warmth of his touch. It was something that Clare knew was more of a privilege, to be touched and not hurt anyone.
