บท 12: Chapter 11: The Rebellion II (282 - 283AC)

In the aftermath of the Battle of the Trident that basically cemented the downfall of the Targaryen dynasty, the realm of Westeros was plunged into a period of tumult and upheaval as all the Lords received the result of the battle and word of Rhaegars death to Robert. With Robert Baratheon's victory, the Seven Kingdoms grappled with the aftermath of the battle, as old alliances crumbled and new rivalries emerged in the power vacuum that was bound to appear with the downfall of the Targaryens.

Amidst this fragile peace, the looming figure of Tywin Lannister cast a long shadow over the realm. The Lord of Casterly Rock, known for his strategic brilliance and ruthless ambition, saw an opportunity to further the interests of House Lannister and secure his family's position as one of the most powerful houses in the realm. With his eyes set on King's Landing, Tywin marshaled his forces and set out to assert his dominance over the capital city.

As news of Tywin's approach spread, the people of Kingslanding did not know what to think as the Old Lion had kept away from this war until now and uncertainty was starting to fill their hearts as no one knew what side Tywin was going to ally with. Tales of the Lannister forces' brutality and pillaging in times of war and the story of what happened to house Reyne only added to the sense of unease that hung over the city like a dark cloud.

In the midst of this chaos, Lady Elia Martell, the wife of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, and her two young children found themselves trapped within the walls of the Red Keep, the most formidable fortress in the Seven Kingdoms. Knowing the fate that awaited them if Tywin's forces breached the city, Elia could only grow desperate and pray to the gods that by some miracle she and her children would survive through this nightmare.

Two knights of House Aurelius, Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain, renowned for their bravery and unwavering loyalty, remained undercover in the gold cloaks without anyone knowing waiting for the right moment to enact their plan. They spent the time before the Lannisters reached the city getting acquainted with the Red Keep and all the potential escape routes they could take to escape.

As the time passed, two weeks later the Lannister had shown up at the Lions gate declaring his loyalty to the Targeryans and with the help of Maester Pycell whispering lies into Aerys ear, the gate was opened to allow Tywin and his men inside which would be the gravest mistake Aerys ever made in his madness. Once through the gates, Tywin gave the order to ask the city to his soldiers as they road off into different directions causing chaos throughout the city.

turning to Gregor Clegane and Amory Lorch who was beside, he gave them the order of taking some men and breaking into the Red Keep to dispose of Elia and her children however they saw fit. Hearing the order, the two nodded and rode off to carry out their task. On the side of Lancelot and Gawain, once they had heard that the Lannisters were at the gate they had already made their way to Elia's chambers and were already in front of her door.

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang*

"Princess Elia, I am Sir Lacelot under the charge of House Aurelius i have been sent along with Sir Gawain to secure your safe passage out of the Red Keep and bring you to the North under the orders of My Lord Aerian Aurelius!" Lancelot said hoping that Elia would believe them and open the door.

"Why would House Aurelius send you to bring me and my children back to the North, what schemes are you planning with us." Elia replied from in the room, desperation lacing her tone.

"My Lady i have no idea what my young master has planned for you and your children but i swear on my honor and that of our Knighthood that no harm shall come to you and your children!" He said trying to convince her. "My lady please we must hurry before Tywins men make their way into the Keep!"

Hearing what Lancelot said, Elia mustered up her courage and wrapped baby Aegon in a blanket while grabbing on to Rhaenys's hand before opening the door to face the two knights that she hoped with all her being were truly here to save them. "I shall trust you Sir Lancelot and Gawain but if it must come to it and all of us can't make it then please leave me behind and save my children."

"Do not worry, we do not plan for it to come to that. Let me carry the little princess so that it will make it easier for us to move through the Keep." He said while crouching down to pick up Rhaenys who although hesitant to part with her mother still complied seeing her mother nod to her. Before they set off, Lancelot went into the room and took one of the lit candles setting fire to the bed and anything flamable he could find before exiting the room again. Once everyone was ready, Lancelot and Gawain lead them through the quickest route they had found to the underground passage luckily narrowly avoiding the arrival of Clegane and Lorch who had just finished scaling up the side of the Keep with their men and arrived only to find Elia's room engulfed in flames.

Navigating the labyrinthine corridors and hidden passages of the Red Keep, Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain encountered fierce resistance from Tywin's soldiers who they happened to meet on their escape, yet being only normal soldiers, stood no chance against the two skillful knights. Undaunted by the dangers that lay before them, the knights fought with skill and valor, their swords flashing in the dimly lit halls as they carved a path towards their objective.

Finally reaching the undergorund passage where they had the boat tey had sailed in on hidden away, Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain sprang into action, getting the boat back into the water and helping Elia and her children on board, covering them with a blanket. They then proceeded to slowly sail away putting distanc between them and Kingslanding, making way for the coastal town they had sailed from in the first place.

With Lady Elia and her children rescued from harm's way, Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain led them to safety, their escape from the Red Keep fraught with danger and peril at every turn. As they made their way to the northern army camp, where Lord Tharren Aurelius awaited their arrival, a sense of relief and gratitude washed over Elia, knowing that they had been saved from a fate worse than death by the valor and selflessness of two noble knights and House Aurelius.

The reunion at the northern army camp was marked by tears of joy and gratitude, as Lady Elia and her children found refuge and sanctuary amidst the tents and banners of House Aurelius finally feeling a semblance of safety, something she hadn't felt since the war had started. There, surrounded by allies and protectors, they were embraced by Lord Tharren Aurelius and his loyal bannermen, who made sure they were taken care of and had everything they needed.

The heroic actions of Sir Lancelot and Sir Gawain in rescuing Lady Elia and her children would be celebrated and be turned into a tale to be remembered for generations to come, their names enshrined in the annals of Westerosi history as symbols of courage and honor in a time of darkness and uncertainty achieving feats against all odds. Their bravery would serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for all who faced the challenges of a realm torn apart by war and political intrigue, a testament to the enduring spirit of chivalry and valor that lived on in the hearts of the noble knights of Westeros.
