บท 63: One Slash

'All I had to do was ask?' Leroy thought surprised as he saw Jerome get up from the chair at the bar counter and head towards the examination arena just like he had done when he had examined Leroy for his Adventurer's rank the first time around.

Taking a jug of the water he had asked the waiter to give him, Leroy got up on his feet and started following Jerome, both of them now heading towards the examination hall.

Going past the receptionist's desk, Leroy saw the unusual woman with the corner of his eye, she was still there at the desk attending to her clients with the same smile as before. She seemed to notice him looking at her however and gave him a small discreet smile.

Leroy turned his head away immediately, his heart and head pounding as he continued to follow Jerome towards the corner.
