บท 18: The Interrogation

After searching for endless minutes I finally found one !!! But before destroying it, I took out my clothes and sprayed deodorant over my clothes, and burned them, while the clothes picked fire I picked them up with that stick and threw them from the edge of the elevated height of the hill.
I took my new pair of clothes and threw them on the ground
Next up I sprayed the deodorant all over Lb's body!! And lighted it by throwing the lighter on him directly, he caught a huge amount of fire right at instance,
I pressed the gas to peddle with the tree branch and the car started to move, I pressed it With more force and it roared and went straight giving a jerk, at the end of the cliff and I looked down, at the car, running into trees while free falling!!
This will not destroy the evidence but will buy us time from the police, it can still be found out his traces of body easily if they started searching the east hills of gastovik.
But now I felt like a warrior, I did it.
I was standing there naked looking down at the Subaru forester giving out flames. Then, I realized I'm no longer normal. I'm a fucking psychopath. I killed my cousin along with other 2 sons of bitches
I started jerking off in the dark with a torch in my mouth! To release some dopamine and kick out the stress so I function normally!
I stood at the edge of the cliff and ejaculated down there where I threw that bastard's body! A laugh surged through me, and I gave out a big laugh !! Spreading my arms across.
I dressed up in a fresh white shirt and black pants and made my way toward the main road connecting the outskirts to gastovik.
I was running towards the city on my feet, I lost feeling in both my legs and wondered how are they still intact with my body.
Soon I found a car coming my way, I stretched my thumb hoping for a hitch, and there was a sweet lady in her 50s,
Firstly I faked a smile and said,
"you look just like my mom" is such a cliche and cringe thing to say for gaining trust.
"She didn't smile, I just want a lift to the city, my girlfriend and I came to hook up and got into a fight and she left me here and went with her car".
I made a sad depressing face, and brought tears which were real,
She fell for it, and said: "get in son don't worry I'll drop you home".
I sat in the second seat and her hand came out of nowhere and landed on my cheeks.
A cry gushed within me, and for the entire ride in sobbing like an infant holding her hand in my face.
"Poor soul, let that bitch die in hell, you deserve much more better than her".
I also felt relief being with her, "can I take your phone please" I said
"Sure do you want to call your parents?"
"No, I just want to give you my number".
"So sweet of you," she said
This was genuine, she comforted me, and she gave me a motherly vibe, I hugged her and kept my head on her shoulder.
"I never had a mother," I said
She pressed her hand on my cheek and also leaned her head onto mine.
we made it to the city in 15 minutes I told her to drop me 3 streets before the greenpale in a random apartment and then when she went saying me "goodbye".
I rushed towards greenpale with all my strength, after that, I wanted a quick bath, and a pair of different clothes, again.
when I reached the office, I picked up my phone and called an uber to jinx apartment.
There were strips for public blocking and 8 police officers in total as I counted, this became a major case. Now I called Mayo and it was picked up by Mr. wiran.
He called me in the Hopewell hospital asap!!
I again took an uber and rushed towards the hospital, I was panicking from the core, my body was extremely sweaty.
Before the surgical theatre I saw 2 policemen standing and talking to Mr. wiran, he calmly said "come this way"
And it lead me into a lift a police officer also got inside with us and it lead us Directly to the terrace of the hospital.
Mr.wiran grabbed my collar and threw me towards the wall, he tightly grabbed my jaw and looked straight into my eyes, and said.
"How the hell did this happen"?
The police officer kept staring at me.
"First pull your filthy hands away from my beautiful face," I said
So he knew I was involved I couldn't lie to him, as he saw me getting in with jinx when we left Davis.
Mayo came barging in through that door, I felt relieved as she will control wiran's anger and free me from his filthy hands.
She gave me a tight punch in my abdomen, it was so hard that I began to puke.
She picked up my head and said "why have you not thought about coming to us or calling us?"
"Why should I?, You live in the bungalow located at the end of the town and it would take 30-40 minutes to reach jinx's apartment".
"We could have called our enforcements to help". She screamed with tears in her eyes
"The first thing I thought was to tell you Mayo, or Jojo but jinx told me not to involve these guys, he only asked for me you can crosscheck with Joyce."
"I thought that the matter was not that severe and it could sort just by talking."
The badge on the officers spelled "Jeffery landers" so it was wiran's dog after all
"He didn't want your help Ulrich," I said
"He began to look away from me and started to wipe his tears,"
"How's jinx," I asked
None of them spoke, I looked at the police officer hoping to get an answer at least from him.
"He's undergoing a heavy operational treatment, and his situation is very critical". Jeffery said
"I didn't run from the fight, I tried to protect jinx, without caring about my own life, jinx said he loved me in my favor, I still have regrets, I could reduce the damage jinx sustained on himself."
"I will leave the town tomorrow, and forget about all the stuff we went through," I said.
I left the terrace and went downstairs to see Joyce. She was sitting there with the same expression she had yesterday night at the apartment, her mascara ran all over her cheeks, eyes were swelled and reddened.
I said to her, "I decided to leave gastovik tomorrow. If jinx wakes up tell him that I was sorry for his car, and tried my overall to fight for him."
She was silent for 5 minutes but then broke it by saying
"You can't leave unless you give your testimony you fuckin idiot,"
Darn it, I almost forgot about the legal proceedings I needed to undergo.
Soon a saw a bundle of officers and took Joyce first, then they asked her, who else was living in the apartment, and she pointed her hands toward me.
"Yeah, I'm coming," I said with a confident look to look more cooperative and gain their trust."
There were one police headquarters in the whole town and I was held inside the interrogation room.
Now I don't have to look down or sideways while answering questions, I only have to look upward right or upward left.
But I don't have to repeatedly do it, as it will arise more suspicions and intentionally look down to make it balanced.
They asked me from the start of my birth till the time I reached here at the interrogation room.
I calmly handled every bit of the question with utmost care giving very minimal info and acting like I don't have anything to do with it.
"The question arises where was I at the time of the incident, I said I was working in greenpale sorting the financial files according to their respective year, and then I cleaned the main hall where the cubicles are located, pops and I was just chilling, till I finished my shift and went to my apartment which I was sharing with jinx and Joyce."
They told me to wait for a few minutes and came back after an hour, I fell asleep feeling exhausted and even had a falling dream in the interrogation room itself.
They said, "are you feeling alright, have some water".
Oh, they were quite friendly, and after they said I was banned from leaving the town till the case was solved.
