บท 169: A Strange Thirst

Yun Shu wanted to guess the reason considering the reports she got from Chi Yan telling her how Bai Yunxian has been these days, after receiving the news of her being injured seriously in the battle.

Because it was a time period that Bai Yunxian remembered of hwr possible death.  

She was bound to die in this war after getting caught in the poisonous substances in one way or another.

But from Bai Yunxian's reaction and his expression, Yun Shu could guess somehow that it wasn't the only reason for him coming here.

Something else must've happened in the meantime that even Chi Yan couldn't tell. But what could it be?

Yun Shu was speculating about what could have happened to Bai Yunxian that made him like this, because she didn't see that desperation within him for a long time.
