The Forgotten NPC

When the virtual world of Yggdrasil reaches its final moments, the Great Tomb of Nazarick is transported to an unfamiliar reality, its denizens awakening to true consciousness. At its helm stands Ainz Ooal Gown, an undead overlord determined to conquer the new world in the name of his guild’s legacy.

But beneath the gilded halls of Nazarick lies a secret even Ainz does not know—a forgotten NPC named Valtherion.

Unbeknownst to the guild, Valtherion was not their creation but the result of a mysterious omniversal glitch. Once an unremarkable player in Yggdrasil, he was transformed into an NPC and hidden deep within Nazarick’s labyrinthine depths. Upon awakening in the New World, Valtherion discovers he is not bound by the rules of Nazarick’s hierarchy nor by the limitations of mortals.

Gifted with omniversal powers and a cunning mind, Valtherion sees the New World as a stage for his ambition. He begins manipulating events from the shadows, testing the strength of Nazarick’s denizens while sowing discord among their ranks. His ultimate goal is clear: to ascend beyond the New World, surpassing even the omniverse’s will, and claim absolute freedom and power.

As Ainz embarks on his quest for dominance, he unknowingly becomes a pawn in Valtherion’s grander scheme. But the clash between these two godlike beings is inevitable—a battle of wits, power, and ideologies that will shake the foundations of the omniverse itself.
