บท 30: Thirty

Harry waits for Gaia to wake up after she was stabbed by Yohan a week ago. He has been making phone calls from work and answering calls from his lawyer and the authorities. It has been tiresome since Gaia was brought to the hospital. It gives him strength when he touches Gaia’s belly to feel the heartbeat of his unborn child. His eyes turned watery as he prayed that Gaia would wake up soon.

"I am still waiting for you, Gaia," Harry whispered as he held her hand tightly. “When you do, I will protect you and our child every day and forever from anyone who will hurt the both of you.”

Gaia’s parents suddenly arrived, bringing food for Harry. Harry stood up and bowed to them. Gaia’s mother placed the food on the table while her father was looking through his phone.

“You should go back to work now,” Gaia’s mother said. “You have spent a lot of time here taking care of my daughter, and you might have forgotten about your family business.”
