บท 99: UNCERTAIN?
When Neya entered the room, she looked around and saw no one there.
It didn't really look like anyone had been there for a long time.
She moved to Nahor's desk and saw a note lying on the table.
She picked it up and read it. It said
"Neya I had something to give you today but it is important that I handle some important issues first.
I would like to apologize for this. But I promise that I will give it to you on the special day that is not far from now."
"What special day is he talking about?"
She asked herself. Neya could not possibly remember any special day.
"Was it his birthday she asked herself. No. It could not be. It must be something else,"she thought.
Then Neya remembered the how she had seen the palace was being decorated as she was coming to the room.
"The decorations must be for that special day he is talking about,"she said to herself.
She just couldn't figure out what that day it was no matter how much she tried
She knew that it would be imp9ssible for her to remember. So she decided to get some help from her trusted maid Abyne.
Then she called Abyne. Before she could realize it she had already arrived.
"How did you get here so fast? Forget about it. That's not the important issue right now."
"I am going to ask you a question and I do not want anyone else to find out. Have you got me?"
"Yes l have my lady"she humbly said.
"May I know what special occasion is soon to happen?"
"My lady!Are you sure you are not sick. Are you really uncertain of the occasion that is soon to occur?"
"What do you mean Abyne?"
"I mean that right after tomorrow is your wedding anniversary."
Neya's eyes widely opened in shock. How long had she been there? How didn't she notice as time went by?
Oh my gosh!"How could I forget?
"Thank you very much. You can take your leave now,"Neya said
"You do nott really need to thank me. It is my duty to assist you any time,"Abyne said as she left the room.
Neya was really thankful that she had Abyne there. What would she have done if Nahor found out that she did not know about their own wedding anniversary.
