<Eric Jarl POV >
As I was waiting for Alexander and Ivan to finish their work with our guest, I decided to think about our next move. While we could just bunker down in this place and most likely suffer some casualties fighting in a defensive position against the governor, I still think that a sneak attack against his base would do more damage to him than it will do us.
The attack plan was simple when the reinforcements arrive, we will form three teams. One team will lead the assault while the other two will support the assault team from a distance by killing any sniper or zombie that may sneak behind our assault team.
Of course, for this plan to work, Alexander and Ivan need to obtain the location of the governor base and that thing may or may not become a problem if our guest is an idiot or a fanatic believer.
While I was lost in my plans, Alexander and Ivan exit the room where our guest was resting. When the two men saw me, they quickly approach me, ready to inform me of their new information that they managed to gather from the poor man.
"Sir, we found the location of our enemy base. "
At first, I didn't hear him, but when I heard Alexander speaking for the second time, I turned my head towards them.
"Sorry for that. I didn't hear you, as I was thinking about our next move. What did you two found?"
"As I said, we found the location of our enemy base with some details about their military forces and any important places around that base."
"Tell me what you guys found and then we shall see what our net move will be!"
"The base was built in a town named Woodbury and as for their army they have somewhere around one hundred able fighters, but none of them were from any domain that could have trained them on how to use a gun which leads me to believe that most of them barely know how to aim properly which could be seen as an advantage. They also have a tank, the one that you saw, but the good news is that other than the owner of the tank, nobody knows how to drive that tank. If we somehow managed to kill that man, we could theoretically get our hands on that tank, but this depends on you, sir! That's all we found from our guest."
Hearing his report, I couldn't hide the smile on my face. We found where they live and that would lead to their deaths, but we also found a lot of things about their base which work in our favor.
"Tell me more about their base, I presume you guys found something less import than these pieces of information."
"We also found that the people don't respect the governor for his actions, they respect him because their fear his wrath if they are found. But there aren't that many people in this category and I don't know how we could use this piece of information to our advantage."
"We could contact somehow contact the rebels inside Woodbury and ask them to help us by sabotaging the entrance or stealing weapons and medical stuff or just by fighting alongside us when the time will call for them."
"Ivan, go take a man with you and go find a way to contact the rebels inside Woodbury.Good luck! "
"Thank you, Alexander, Sir! "
After saying his goodbyes, Ivan left to find someone how would follow him on this mission.
"Let's go, we have a long week before we will start the assault. Wait for a second! It is possible to attack their scavenging parties? We could use this tactic to weaken the enemy while strengthening our people."
"Should I create a team for this task, sir?"
"Yes, that would be wonderful. I will go search for Maxson to inform him of what you guys found and our next moves."
"Roger that sir, good luck and see you later, sir! "
After ten minutes of searching around, I manage to find Maxson speaking with Hershel.
"How did you found yourself serving Eric? I don't think he's an officer or something like that."
"Nothing like that, sir. Eric saved my life and my people's life when our leaders abandoned us in the bunker we were task to protect in case of an attack. He gave us a reason so that we could continue live and hope for a better future where we could have a family."
"He's a good man. He saved my daughter from a small horde of zombies and even killed them. When we found him, he was covered in zombie blood and every zombie was killed. At first, we thought he died, but when he woke up, we saw him ok, well exhausted but ok. That's when Beth starts taking a liking to him on another level."
Before they could continue with their conversation, I decided to use one of the most powerful powers someone could have at his disposal. I interrupt them with a smile, showing them my teeth.
"He heard us, sir. You may be ok as you are his father-in-law, but I on the other hand. It was a nice meeting, you sir. !"
"Don't be so dramatic, Maxson. Alexander and Ivan found the location of the governor's base and some interesting things about it. I send Ivan to contact the rebels, the people that won't follow the governor's order without being forced or because of their fear of losing their lives. We could use their help when we would attack Woodbury. Another thing me and Alexander decide to do was forming a team to attack their scavenging parties, weakening the governor forces even more."
"I'm speechless, sir! That's brilliant and if these tactics work, we would easily defeat the governor."
"That's the plan, Maxson!"
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
