Levin's convoy was forced to a halt once they were also caught up by the traffic at one of the checkpoints. He roamed his eyes around and witnessed the rising tension in the area among the civilians. Some were shouting and cursing at the authorities, asking them to hurry up the process. 

His eyes drooped, and his hands subconsciously clenched. Was this what you wanted, Father? He kept asking over and over, but none of his questions were answered. 

While Levin was on his way to the possible location where he could meet his father, Spade was actually watching the chaos that was happening at the checkpoints. The moment that the reports rushed in, they had already reached Spade's ears. 

In his silence, Ace only stood by his side, but it could be noticed how there was sweat forming on the alpha's forehead, yet he didn't dare to leave his position, and all he could do was endure Spade's pheromones that were tinged with dangerous pressure.
