บท 222: Game One (2)

It was as though a haunting silence enveloped the room instantly, their minds having had time to process what they witnessed. 

Arren, who was beside Spade, saw it even more clearly than the others and the sound seemed to be much louder in his ears. His hand abruptly covered his mouth amidst his surprised gasp. 

Everyone held their breath, afraid that they might say anything after their minds had processed what happened. Arren glanced at the Empress, who had his cold gaze watching Spade before he shifted his eyes to the alpha, eyes filled with concern. 

Spade moved his jaw, and slowly turned his head again in front as he met his Royal Mother's furious gaze. He didn't even bother wiping the blood in the corner of his lips after his teeth collided with the side of his cheek from that hard slap.
