บท 20: Chapter 19

The rebels resurged with a huge roar defeating the royalists left and right. Robert leading the charge with Ned Stark as usual.

They defeated House Darry and lay claim to the River of the Trident. It's a very important lanscape for the whole of Westeros as that river links to other ones allowing ease of movement through ships.

The rebels must be taken care of soon or else this war will drag on for a long time. As I sailed away I decided to use Muginn and Huginn and their flock of crows to find out information and developments I have missed out on during the duration of the war.

I haven't been paying attention to court intrigues but make no mistake they play a huge role in wars like this.

It took about a week for them to come back to me. Over the years I've taken my warging abilities to an unprecedented level for these westerosi. I am able to communicate telepathically with my bonds now. We don't speak the same language but the telepathic link basically translates what we are saying to each other.

I know I know its weird I am talking birds. Get over it cunt.

Funnily enough one of my birds I named Runner, made his way to Dorne and found Prince Rhaegar departing from a tower in the Prince's Pass. Leaving three kingsguard behind. It seems the foolish girl is still in love with her Silver prince.

And she's pregnant. Almost at her due date. Runner saw no maester or midwife taking care of her. Just her and three kingsguard. No matter how cold hearted I am I won't let the idiot girl kill herself for a self serving prick.

I swiftly penned a letter to Ashara Dayne at Starfall telling her my findings. Asking her if there was anything she can do to help the girl out. And to keep it discreet please. We do not want the war to get more complicated.

I tied the letter to Runner and showed him the place to go on the map. Telepathically showed him images of Ashara Dayne who he is to deliver it to and wait for a reply.

He took off when we finally reached Dragonstone and we immediately got to fortifying its defenses.

I heard news that some of the royal family is here. Rhaella, Viserys and Rhaenys. Apparently Aegon and Elia are held hostage by Aerys for dornish compliance.

The man is making enemies of allies still.

I decided to go and see my queen. Hopefully she hasn't moved on. Afterall romance can be fleeting.

[Ashara Dayne ]

Her father has still not forgiven her for siring a bastard.

But she cares not on writ about his anger. Her little boy. One look and you can tell who his father is.

She decided to name him in honor of his father's homeland and called him Alaric.

Alaric Sand but if she has her way one day it will be Alaric Dayne. She has already been told by her maester that she should expect no more children.

That he is all she will be getting.

At first she panicked as the worth of a woman in Westeros is determined by how many children she can push out. Lord Dayne was wroth that he can't marry her out to any lord as news of her infertility will surely come out.

I offered him a deal hoping he would accept. That I would not contact the father of Cregan.I will disappear for a while then come back with Cregan saying I was married to an Essosi. This way he will be a legitimate Dayne and we somehow have the blood of the the kings of winter in our line too for free.

My father said the plan was foolhardy at best and waved it off but he conceded that he will push for legitimacy if he proves strong and loyal.

All of a sudden I heard a rap at my window. This is one of the upper floors of Starfall no one should be able to reach here. I took out my dagger and cautiously made my way towards the windoe where I saw a crow sitting there.

It was even more perplexing when the crow waved at me and pointed a wing at its legs where is saw a note tied to it.

Will this day get any weirder?

I let it in and removed the note. The bird then flew to my dress cabinet and made itself comfortable. I shook my head and opened it.

Lady Ash,

I know I haven't contacted you in some time since this war began. Been busy fighting my ass off. Almost killed Robert Baratheon twice but the guy managed to get away. Must be plot armor like those heroes in novels that just refuse to die.

Anyway… look I'm trusting you with something I never even told Rhaella. You know I have northern blood well the stories of wargs and greensers have alot of truth in them. The crow I sent is one of my bonds I can see through his eyes and communicate sometimes.

I was scouting through Dorne to see if there was an army mobilizing I needed to know about but I came across something more.

I found your brother. And his brothers. And the Silver Prince and the Winter Rose. It seems while the rest of us made war and laid our lives on the line they played house.

Regardless, the girl is but fifteen namedays she doesn't know better. I even doubt she knows there is a war going on. Regardless,

The whore is pregnant.

She's also about to give birth. Maybe in a month or two. There are no maesters or midwives with her just Kingsguards. I believe Rhaegar wants her to die while giving birth so he can sweep it under the carpet.

I don't know about you but I do not want a foolish girl to die in schemes she does not understand if I can help it. They are at the Prince's Pass. Take trusted midwives with you to help her along. Tell them if any of them die or go missing I'll personally hunt them down.

You should also protect yourself. You never know how far Rhaegar's dick is up their asses. Set up a letter that will inform House Martell of their position if you do not make it back in time.

You are the only one smart and resourceful enough and in a good location to do this. Do this for me and I will be in your debt no questions asked. Maybe its the lingering Northern loyalties my father instilled in me that makes me want to save the girl.

Take care of her, I'll take care of everyone else.

From The Elden Lord.

This guy! Just comes and drops this barrel of wildfire on me.

At least I get something out of this. Poor Elia will have to deal with a bastard. I wonder how that will go.

I turned and looked at the crow in its eyes and squinted at it,

'You owe me one.'

The bird squawked very loudly.
