Dusken's muscles tensed up as he stared at Ebon. He felt varying emotions and one of them was relief.

Staring at the standing death guard, all the battles around him became nothing more than a background as his relief soared to new heights.

However, this relief shattered as all he saw in Ebon's narrow eyes was unrecognition and hunger. For some reason, Ebon's gaze made him feel hollow.

His little recovered Abyssal energy had been drained to raise the death guard, yet all he got in return was malice and unrecognition. This made slight rage rise within him as he clenched his fists.

Even so, his mind was churning from the shock he got right now.

'Second chance at life?' He marvelled inwardly. If he remembered correctly, there was also the message of him being granted liberty by the Abyssal Devil.

What that meant? He didn't know and many more questions were raging inside him.
