Only a few minutes after Hernandez had called, Erik was with her in the car speeding on the freeway towards the sixth ring.

“Now tell me why you're so sure you know where they are.” He exclaimed as soon as he found himself in the car with her.

“You know this afternoon, when we found Lukas Bonnet at the headquarter?”

“Yes. Did he tell you where they are?”

Zoe grimaced: “Um... not exactly. I had the impression he was hiding something, I don’t know... it was a feeling. So I stuck a microphone with a locator on the sleeve of his jacket... you know, one of those tiny things that Laurent uses too.“

Erik remembered when, a few hours before, he had seen her confidentially touching Bonnet’s arm.

Apparently it hadn’t been the loving banter he had imagined.

The incurable romantic in him was a little disappointed.
