The Spire, Zakuul
The Lord Commander of the Knights of Zakuul
A prestigious position and the leader of the Knights of Zakuul. A dream of every child in the Empire. To be able to guard their Emperor while also seeing the Eternal Throne in its full glory everyday. Who doesn't want that?
Well, Revan certainly does
The youngest ever Lord Commander of the Knights of Zakuul. Revan came from a planet called Deralia, a planet that he called home once, before he joined the Knights in Zakuul. Training under the legendary Knight of the Dawn, Arthur Dayne, who was also the former Lord Commander prior to his death, Revan has an interesting backstory.
When he was only five, Revan lost his mother Shmi to bandits. He survived for 10 days without food and water running away from the killers of his mother until he met a former Knight of Zakuul, none other than the legendary Knight of the Orange, Jeremiah Gottwald. Well Revan's first opinion is that the old man saving him is not Orange but Silver although the streaks of orange can still be seen in his hair but age has certainly made him more Knight of the Silver.
The legendary knight was the hero of Deralia, and noted to be one of the most famous people ever to serve in the order, although after suffering from an injury and reportedly dying due to sickness, the Knight decided to retire despite the Emperor's pleas that he could stay in the Spire, the knight refused and decided to spend the last of his days in his homeplanet living peacefully and contently.
Until he met the young kid of course.
A kid that possesed a strong will to have lived without consuming anything for over a week is certainly a plus in his books. Upon hearing the reason for his dishelved appearance, the ageing Knight waited no more and immediately went to the nearest police station to report the incident. Luckily, the police immediately know the culprit, the bad news? Well the escaped Deralia. Meaning that they could be anywhere and it will take time to get them.
But something tells Jeremiah that this kid will have a bright future if he trained him. So, he made an offer to train the kid and if he wishes, to take him to Zakuul to be trained as a Knight of Zakuul. Seeing no other future, the young Revan immediately agreed while also wishing that he can get more information to catch those who killed his mother.
And so, his journey begins.
For over 20 years he rose through the ranks and now at the age of 26, he was promoted to be Lord Commander due to his skills, dedication, and loyalty to the Emperor. But it is not the only reason.
No, the other reason is that somehow he is left as the oldest and most experienced Knight in the Order. Weird
Being human, he knows that in reality, it is nearly impossible to be the Lord Commander at this age, as his predecessor Arthur Dayne became Lord Commander at the advanced age of 170 (sure the life expectancy of humans in the Empire is around 150-200 years old), but still the weird psychology of other race means that despite the presence of Grogu, from a species that its name he cannot pronounce due to the fact that his race hides often on the swampy Dagobah and rarely seen, who is also still a teenager? well despite being 175 years old, Grogu said that he is not ready.
What about Satele Shan? The Brentaali is certainly a possible candidate. The Emperor just shrugged and replied "Well she said that she is not interested, instead she chose to be the Vice Commander, as per her own words "Revan is ready, just give him the job, surely he won't mess this up, besides he is more powerful than me, a perfect man for the job""
Thank You for that Satele, hopefully being a mother won't change her weird sense of humor. 'Well hopefully being in a relationship with that dour man Malcom won't change her' thought Revan.
Now Revan is watching his Emperor sitting yet frowning on the Throne while thinking 'Well something has ticked him off'
"Revan, what do you think of the current situation?" Thexan asked his trusted Lord Commander from where he is sitting
The Situation, of course, a massive energy pulse from that planet Terra. Weird thing since Terra shouldn't have such technology in their world. 'Did a Terran managed to steal the Tesseract from Asgard? If so then that's impressive. If not then who stole it? Amora the Enchantress?Maybe, that witch certainly is capable if not for the fact that Amora is in prison for over 200 years for trying to steal the Eternal Flame from Odin's vault. Skurge? Nah he is strong but he is an idiot.'
"I think perhaps that someone form Asgard brought the Tesseract to Terra? Although it won't make any sense Your Grace since no one in the right mind would take it from one of the most secure place in the Universe to a planet that burned each other because they thought that Chemistry is Magic because for all that is known, the Tesseract is 'magical'. Therefore I conclude that the real reason is that perhaps no one would expect someone to find it on a planet that is of almost no importance, well perhaps except for that metal in a desert continent which was impressive and somewhat stronger than a normal Durasteel." replied Revan after thinking for a while
"Yes, I believe so my friend, that's why it is concerning, since it is clear that Terrans have found it and is either brave or stupid enough to mess with something that they don't know, resulting in them lighting a beacon across the universe that they are ready to join the big game. I would have believed it had it not for the fact that there are only one and a half Terran outside Terra, a Ravager named Quill and a half Terran that scared the Accuser over a decade ago." claimed Thexan
"Well whether they are ready or not is no longer of importance, since that beacon summoned a Jotun with an army of savages to one of their city. These 'Avengers' are if anything, determined, something that myself and certainly Thrawn would respect. But seriously, watching them celebrating a victory over savages who can't even stand in a straight line without killing those who are in front of them like celebrating killing a Celestial is certainly amusing" chuckled Thexan
At that moment, a Knight of Zakuul entered the throne room and kneeled
"Your Grace, we have received a transmition of the utmost importance coming from Asgard, it seems King Odin wishes to speak to you about Grand Admiral Thrawn's movement near Terra." said the Knight
"Ah finally the old fool contacted me, let's hear his reasoning shall we?" Thexan said while standing up and started to leave the throne room
Revan and a dozen of Knights immediately followed their Emperor to the meeting room and upon arriving they immediately stood guard, and to ensure nobody hears the conversation unless their Emperor allowed them to
"Ah old friend, so will you tell me why the Tesseract is on Terra? And please do tell me how the Jotun managed to work under the Mad Titan as the Chitauri is his minions" those are the last words of Emperor Thexan that Revan heard along with a silhouette of a one-eyed old man before the door closed.
