In part of Thailand—
"Are you sure that you want to early retire?"
An elderly man was dressed in a khaki fold-necked short-sleeve shirt uniform said. On his shoulders appeared two golden epaulets that had the sign of rank Rear admiral. His dignity and position had more than a woman dressed in navy uniform who stood in front of him now. Because her shoulder had a sign of the rank of Lieutenant.
"Yes, I'm sure."
The man sat staring at the white paper in his hand with hard-to-read eyes, interspersed with the young woman in front of him who looked young than him a lot.
"Do as you wish."
Then he headed down to read the documents and signed his name on them.
"I'll let the personnel department take care of it for you..."
"Thank you, sir."
She stood up straight and bowed in salute. Then immediately turned around and walked out of the room. She went straight to a room in front of a black filmed glass door with a sign that said, 'Personnel Department'
"Excuses me…"
She walked up to a woman who looked very old. The old woman looked at her through the lens of long-sighted glasses and said.
"Oh... what's up? come at the right time, I will tell you that the finances have already checked the debt. There is no problem."
"Thank you, Commander."
"So, what are you going to do after this?"
"Go follow my dreams."
The young woman said with sparkling eyes. Today was her happiest day in the past five years. She truly felt the word 'freedom'.
"Good luck"
"Thank you"
Then the woman walked out to the front of the headquarters. She looked up to the sky and saw a little bird soaring freely in the sky. Now she's going to be like it as well.
"PARAMEE- you are free now."
She mumbled to herself before walking towards her little white turtle car that was parked in the parking lot in front of the office. Today would be her last day to wear this uniform. Even if her rank in the military could not be removed. Because if they were to be removed, they would have to have a royal decree to remove the rank.
But that wasn't a problem for her. Cause she considered it of no value to her at all.
She drove the white turtle car away with a fluttering heart. Her destination was what she called 'home'. She looked at the paper document with the Garuda insignia appearing on the top of the paper with happy eyes. In which the header of the paper reads: 'Resigning from government service' and the text reads:
I, Lieutenant PARAMEE PAKSAKORN, holding the position of Operational officer wishes to resign from government service due to health problems so unable to continue working...
Best regard
Lieutenant PARAMEE PAKSAKORN
To be continued...
