Jade was holding my face--and by face, I meant nose--with its wings one day. The beady eyes were sparkling. [Papa is medium happy!]
"Pfft--what do you mean medium happy?"
[Happy but not as happy as wedding happy] Jade giggled while hopping to my open palms. [Papa is not happy after Zia gone, so Jade is happy too]
"Aww, what a sweet child you are," I nuzzled Jade's belly, prompting a crisp chirping in place of laughter. "But, hmm...I don't think anything can make me happier than that," I said, looking up to ponder. "Except maybe when Shwa is born later."
Natha whispered behind my earlobe. "What about bed happy?"
I turned and smacked his upper arm. "There's a child here!" I hissed, but he just laughed it off while nonchalantly walking to the couch where D'Ara was calmly having his late afternoon tea.
I mean...it did make me happy, but what if Jade started to ask questions? What would you tell the child, huh? Huh?!
