บท 2: Chapter 1 The Dark Nightmare
Sophia was always a girl that like people looking at her and she would do anything for their answers and she bases her life on that.
It was never healthy but she didn't care but she wanted to win over anybody. Even the bad people.
When she hung out with Candy. She always wanted her to cry even if she didn't try to but she wanted her reactions.
Sophia wanted to be the star of everything and if someone in her way she will take them out.
When she was in middle school, she would avoid Candy and she would make her name for herself and she would get to look for her body from the other boys.
They would look at her like a lion look at its prey.
"What is our looking at?" She asks
"We looking at you sexy." One of the boys said
Jerome Lock, one of the boys that they call JLock.
"When can you and I go out and show everyone what a woman can be."
"I don't know. Maybe when you brush your teeth and your breath doesn't smell like ass."
"Oh."
The other boys had laughed and given him a thumbs down.
"You not good with every girl."
One of the other boys was name Turner.
"Yeah, yeah. I going to hit that if that the last thing I do but I won't worry about it though."
"Yeah, right."
He walks off and shook his head.
"Ight, you see. You will see."
He looks at Sophia's butt and walks away to class.
Sophia would always be an A-plus student and there was nobody better than her and the other girl that was good in math would always be jealous of her.
They would always look at her with such looks and they would never show their emotions in front of her and they would say, "good job."
One of the girls' name Jill would always go head to head with Sophia in math, English, and science.
Jill would always be second best and she would beat herself over it and she would always beat herself over small things.
"What am I even doing here?"
Jill would go home and beat her head against her own wall and she would cry.
"Why am I even born? I can't even beat that bitch but I make sure that there isn't anyone else that can climb the ranks."
The next day, Candy had surpassed her and she was rank second in the whole school right behind Sophia and her dreams were over.
"I third place. Why?"
She walks up to the stage and she was so depressed and she was trying to keep her cool.
"This girl, this girl is going to die."
She would smile and shake Candy's hand even though she didn't want to but she had to.
Jill went home and had pictures of Candy and she would put an X mark on her photo and she would bully her the next few years.
When Jill sees her in the hallway she would knock her books out of her hand she would call her trashes.
"You is nothing, you are trash. Get out of my school, trash, and enter into that garbage can." She said
Candy ran crying in the bathroom and she would always get help because of the school consular and she would never talk to anybody.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
She was silent and she would bait her thumb.
"You got to talk to me."
"What is that going to fix?"
"It will help a lot."
"No, it won't."
She cried and she would hold her hands tight and she baits her thumb and just thinking about what Jill said and she would say, "I going to kill her. I going to kill her."
"What was that?"
"Oh, nothing." She said with a smile.
"Okay." She put down some notes.
Candy look over and she looks at what she wrote down and she got up and she left out of the room.
"Candy, Candy wait."
She went home that day and Jill was call in and she was suspended from school for three days.
The next day Candy walk up the hallways and Jerome would come up to her and knock her book out of her hand and she would back up.
"You bitch. You got my cousin to suspend and now due to your snitching. She can't be accepted into any of the top colleges. I should."
"I'm sorry about that but I didn't say anything."
He laughs.
"You listen to me and listen well."
"I'm."
"I'm sorry. Is that all you can say to me bitch?"
She looks into his eyes and she was so terrified of his eyes and so she starts singing.
"I am a person with a voice."
"You are a person that should get on their knees."
"No, I not doing that."
"What?"
"I said I not doing that."
A teacher came and she asks, "Where is our hall pass?"
Jerome walks away and he was piss.
"Hey, are you okay Candy?"
"I'm fine."
She walks away and she would walk to the bathroom and she would put water on her face and she would be at the top of the seat.
"I am not trash."
She walks out and she had gone to class without even looking like someone mess with her.
"I need to make sure that there is nothing wrong with her."
Turner said and he would walk out of the class and check on her but Jerome always try to stop him and Turner would always out-think him and talk to Candy.
"Listen, I know that the world can be cruel but you need to break through them."
"Thanks but why are you talking to me?"
"Well just say that there are people that don't care about others."
"I see."
"Well, just talk to me when you need to and ask me anything and talk about anything and I listen to you without saying a word."
"Okay, I take you on that offer then."
"Okay."
They talk for a few minutes in the library and after school.
They would walk together after school to a park close by and they sat there for a few hours and then before it gets dark Turner's mom would drop her off.
When they go out together it was peaceful for Candy and so Jill was on the back burner and she would never come close to Candy.
She does look at her and she does call her names but Turner would always have her back and she has a friend beside Sophia but that change when he had to move.
"No, you can't go."
"I have to but you will be alright."
"No, I won't."
She cried in his arms.
"It will be fine and remember if you feeling sad or angry. Call me."
Candy wishes for that but after her father had raped her. She couldn't tell Turner anything but she did chat with him.
Turner knew something was wrong but he couldn't put his mind on it and he had to keep chatting with her.
Sophia had made the school bow to her and anything she does would be a blessing.
It was told by many of the boys. If you bang that then you are a king but that would be dramatic.
Sophia would just like it but she didn't want to bring anything to her that will hurt her popular rating.
Sophia would talk to Candy rarely and when Turner left she would hang out with her and that one night together she would feel happy but she wouldn't feel sad about Candy's life.
She was too busy worrying about her life. It was her friend and she couldn't even hang out with her without making a mess.
Candy would cry in her arms like no time and Sophia would feel so much in power and she was just smiling.
"Candy, I sorry I wasn't there for you when that happens but I going to make sure that you aren't hurt anymore. If you want to talk then we will talk."
She was rubbing her head and she crying too but they were tears of lies.
"You are nothing but a crybaby and I am the star of everything. You just keep crying into my arms and I will hold you tight."
Sophia had a dark mind of what a person that is selfish and only think about themselves. She is the person with sin and that is greed.
Sophia didn't have anything to do with Candy the next day and Candy was feeling like she was being distant again.
Candy would write in her book and she had two notebooks full and she would tell Turner everything about her notes and he would reply with such nice words.
"I love you." She said
She couldn't believe that someone like Turner could never love her that much.
She would wake up and sophomore year had come and Sophia was so popular in high school and she would hang out with the jocks.
Jerome always said that he would tap that before long and he did.
Sophia was never fully into this guy. His breath would always stink and it was terrible.
Sophia would back away from him but due to his breath.
They were in her room and they were having sex and his breath would stink during the time he was breathing all in her face but she wanted to look cool.
After that, she would get up and clean herself and she would be told to get a breath mint.
"I need you to leave okay. My mom will be back any minute."
"You want me to leave that bad huh."
"Of course so leave please."
They kiss and she would feel such disgust and she would wash her mouth out with water due to his breath.
"He needs to stop and think what he breath do to me when he doesn't brush it."
She would go to high school and Candy would always be away from everything and Sophia didn't anybody to talk to.
She walk-in class and she sees on her desk it was a name. it said, "Slut."
She looks up and looks around and she grabs her bag and she ran out and she would talk to Jerome but he didn't want anything to do with her.
She felt like she was being used and she didn't like that and so she had made him a deal.
"What if I tell you that you can get payback on Candy."
"Hey don't say that name in front of me."
"Are you mad? You didn't say that when you were hitting it."
"Hay."
"I will tell everyone that your breath stink and you are bad in bed."
"Hey, bitch."
"What you going to try to hit me because you got a small one."
"Ight, what is it that you got in mind?"
She told him that she will get Candy and they will make sure that she is alone and they meet at a so-called fake party and they will rape her.
They were shaking off this plan but Sophia was so much a play-making in everything she would easily get him and the other guys to get in trouble big time.
And so that night when Candy was being raped she would be grabbed by Jerome and he was last and she would look at Candy with such a face of disgust and afterward, she felt like she has done it and she was back to the top.
No names and no news but there was news on a dead body and he was young and he was stabbed many times in the body around the stomach and they call it a homicide and She felt worried about Candy.
She went to her house a few weeks later and she sees her parents hanging and she was worry about her safety and that night she was visited by nightmares.
Seeing Candy everywhere she goes and when she eats she just threw it back up and she could never sleep and she was worry about what she could have to stop the dark desire of her friend being raped.
