บท 5: Just three rules
April was surprised,a bad surprise actually. Prince Edward was this annoying, pretentious man, she couldn't believe it , she wanted to faint and wake up that it was just a nightmare.
She will be staying with this man for the rest of her life, even if he had a pleasant face but his behavior was really annoying. She was displeased with the fact that she has to married a bourgeois and that the bourgeois in question was this man , a annoying stupid prince but she was not having a choice, it is for her family and for herself if not she will be forced to married sir laurent and her father will be a slave.
<<it's confirmed April, you're cursed >> she said inwardly
Edward had a surprise expression too but it lasted just a few seconds. He moved toward her and stopped 2 inches from her, looking her from head to toes, he then turned around her like a predator watching his prey.
April fell nervous she was certain that he is going to refuse to married her because since the first day they met she always answered to him arrogantly ,which for a prince was an insult. "So, this is my wife?" he asked turning around her , a smirk on his lips . "Yes son" replied the king. Edouard stay silent he was just scanning the girl then he spoke "I don't want her" he said firmly and sternly.
The heart of April skipped when she heard it , what she was afraid of finally happened he rejected her , all her hopes were gone.
"Edward!! what are you saying!!?" Said the king furious.
"As I said father , I don't want her!" He opened the door and walked away. The king was furious and his four son was just there speechless and one finally spoke "He's always disobeying you,your majesty" . "I will talk to him ,for now April , the maid will show your chamber to you" the king said a little annoyed. April bowed then walked away.
The maid and April climbed the stairs which looked very clean and majestic with a red carpet on it. They reached the third floor and the maid shown her a door and told her that the large door beside her chamber was the chamber of her husband. She was surprise why they're are not sleeping in the same room , he was supposed to be his husband ,isn't he?. The maid bowed and went.
April entered her chamber, she was stunned. The chamber was huge having a very large window which allowed the sun to enter and illuminate the room. The ceiling has a beautiful chandelier which was centrally located, the ground sheet was exotic very beautiful, a cupboard with many books on it and another cupboard on the opposite which was empty she supposed that it was where robes and shoes are kept. A long straight mirror. And the bed, a large bed with large pillows. It looked comfortable, April fell on it with her eyes gazing the ceiling it felt so soft. It was not like her own bed which was uncomfortable and her pillows was hard like rocks "This room is my whole house " she said looking amazed.
She then stood up, she was anxious, thinking that prince Edouard will not accept to married her. She kept turning and turning in the room. To calm herself she took a book on the cupboard she started reading,almost five hours passed and no news of the prince. Then someone knocked at the door "My lady, the prince is calling for you" said the maid politely. April swallowed, she opened the door and walked slowly she was trembling. She arrived in front of his door and knocked, she heard someone say from inside "enter". She opened the door slowly and entered. His room looked bigger than hers and more luxurious. Edward with the wave of his hand indicate to April that she should sit on the bed , the man was not looking at her ,he seemed to be annoyed , he was so intimidating that April looked down "Your highness, before you start, I want to apologize for the way I've been talking to you. I was not in a good mood " she said with small voice
Edward was silent for a moment then he spoke "your highness?" He asked "where is the girl that answered to me arrogantly not few hours before " he added. April heartbeat speed up, the man wasn't looking at her "so now you accept to apologize?" He asked turning to April "you now look like a gentle animal " he added with a smirk

"Do you accept my apologies yes or no?" She asked with a firm voice but still small
"No!" He replied directly
She stood up "Why?" She asked looking desperate "because I don't want " he simply said then he sat nonchalantly on a chair "I can do anything you want" she said almost begging
"Are you sure?" He asked
She nodded then Edward lips curved upwardly but the smirk on his lips makes her regret what she just said
"I will test you for 3 week and the last week before we get married I will tell you if you passed the test. Do you agree?" He asked
April swallowed put she wasn't having a choice. She nodded. " before we start, I've rules that you have to know and never in your life disobey them"he said calmly
"And they're?" She asked curious
"They're just three rules. One, you only obeyed me not even the king just me." April nodded
<<it seems simple to manage this one>> she thought.
He continued "two, never enter in my room if I didn't call you and before entering knocked three times." April looked at him strangely
<<what a weird man>> but she nodded
"And lastly, never leave this castle without my permission.If I accept that you leave the castle you should be back at exactly 9pm." April nodded again
"If you disobey to one of them, I will not married you"he threatened "No need to threatened " she said
Edward stood up from his sit, sat on his bed and with his hand touched the bed indicating to April to sit near him. she approached when she wanted to sit he pulled her on his thighs "what are you doing?" She asked surprised. "It's not obvious?" he asked "Your test start now" he curved his lips upward "kiss me" he added with his mesmerizing voice , April flinched when she heard him and she turned literally red "No!!" She said looking embarrassed.
"Wrong answer " he said calmly with a devilish smirk .
April couldn't kiss him like that, she has never kissed a man before and she has not imagine her first kiss like that, with a man that she doesn't loved even though he was a handsome man.
''why are you so shy?, this is not the savage girl I saw in the forest'' he said sensually kissing her neck. She barely jumped in surprise, feeling his warm breath and the sensation of the kiss on his neck . She was red like a tomato,she could feel the heat coming from her face. Never in her life a man has been so near of her.
''If you cannot then I'm going to kiss you''. He caressed her thighs,April shivered at his touched,he approached his mouth near to hers .she started panicking and then she slapped him. She put her two hands on her mouth as if realizing what she did . The room was filled with silence then April broke it "I....I.....I'm sor...sorry " she stammered. "It's your fault also, I panicked when you approached this close " she almost scolded him.
Edward gaze at her, she couldn't deduce which expression was on his face but what the man did next surprise the girl. He carried her like a princess then laid her on the bed, he then climbed on her. "What you did merit a punishment " he said with no expression << what is he going to do? Would he beat me?>> she thought panicking. Someone knocked at the door "My prince, I have a message for you" said a servant . The man was annoyed that someone has interrupted him but he has to let the servant in maybe it was important " Enter" he said . The servant entered, he saw the prince on the girl and bend down his head immediately looking a little embarrassed " the king told me to inform his highness and her highness to prepared for the dinner, he will present her highness to all the family " said the maid
April was relief , she took advantage of him being distracted and went down of the bed, she opened the door and rushed out.
