บท 15: I’m cursed!
April turned and saw the person that was talking.
It was Prince Alec having this mischievous smirk
''Don't you know that curiosity lead to dead?'' He smirked
Even though he had a smirk on his lips , what he said frightened April.
''What's that horrifying noise?'' She asked
''I don't think you will like to really know what's is there'' he said still with a smirk
'' Go and sleep back, you don't have to be here '' he added
Somehow Alec said the true because April wouldn't like to know what is there,so without asking further questions she went .
The next morning,she woke up still thinking of her dream of the night and that horrifying sound.
Anabis and some maids entered ,some prepared the bath ,others brought the breakfast. April finished to prepared herself and started to eat her breakfast but she didn't have much appetite. She was playing with the food turning it using the fork with an absentminded face. Anabis noticed it
''Your highness, don't you like the breakfast ?'' She asked
Anabis knew that her highness loved eating in every circumstances,so the fact that she doesn't eat it was as if something was disturbing her.
''Are you worry about something your highness ?'' She asked again .
April with her hand indicated to the other maids to leave the room. She put the fork down and looked straight at Anabis .
''For how many years have you been working here Anabis ? '' she asked
Anabis was stunned with her question but she replied
''Since 3 years your highness '' she replied
'' Have you ever heard a loud horrifying sound in the castle ?'' She asked
''As if someone was screaming in pain'' she added .
Anabis was surprised with that question
''Uhmmm,no i have never heard such sound here. Maybe it must be some prisoners shouting '' she said.
April stayed silent. The dungeon was really far from Prince Edward quarter,how can a voice of a simple human being be so piercing and loud .This was not normal
''Why are you asking,your highness ?'' Anabis asked
''For nothing, don't mind '' she said with a faint smile .
She get out of her room,when going downstairs she saw katherina talking to Edward and almost caressing him
« What's that? » she thought . She was displeased of what she just saw
''Ed you're too funny'' katherina said smiling
''Do you remember when we were in ocelot kingdom ?, the bartender almost drove us out because we were drunk and disturbing '' she added while laughing
''Of course,i had 18years old and you 16years if I remember '' Edward reply
''Yess Ed !'' She said and the both started to laugh .
Why is she blushing stupidly like this ,that was April thought and the way she looked at Edward ,is she in love with him? , she thought.
Not wanting to talked to them ,she passed without greeting but Edward noticed her since.
''What a stubborn wife,not greeting her husband '' Edward Said still looking at Katherina
April stopped and turned to them
''I didn't wanted to disturb you, your highness '' she said sarcastically and she bowed
Edward turned to her but April had already entered the room where she had a class with her dance teacher.
The teacher arrived and they started the training,April has improved and her teacher was proud of her.
It remains just some hours before the ball start. Everything was ready.
The time for the ball arrived.The castle was with light all over with beautiful decorations in the garden.
All the kings and Queens of the Five Powerful kingdoms were invited except one,also all the people of Escalior were there. Nobody wanted to missed the ball,they all wanted to see the new Princess of the kingdom since they had heard that it was a peasant.
In her room ,April was preparing herself with the help of the maids . She was wearing a long flared lace greenish-dark dress that showed her shoulder , her hairs were tied up elegantly and a little curled with a nice makeup on her face.
''You're beautiful your highness '' one maid said with a smile
''Thank you'' she replied with a smile
April herself was stunned, she didn't recognized herself . She thought it was another person.
While April was too busy to admired herself Edward entered to her room and the maid bowed, she didn't noticed the presence of the man . Edward told the maids to get out and they obeyed.
Edward approaches her and touched her neck,she gasped and looked at the person in the mirror
'' you scared me!'' She said
''I'm sorry '' he said with a soft voice
Hearing the word 'sorry' coming out through Edward mouth was surprising
'' Nervous?'' He asked
'' A little bit'' she said and then added
''Why are you not ready ?'' She asked
He was wearing a casual clothes
''I wanted to give you something first'' he said
He removed something from his pocket. He was behind her ,both looking in the mirror .
He put an emerald chain on her neck ,April was surprise
''Edward.....this is.... '' she was speechless
He then put earrings of the same color.
'' That's much Your highness '' she said surprise and a little embarrassed
'' That's nothing '' he said back
She kept touching the chain and the earrings . '' it is beautiful '' she murmured
''A beautiful gift for a beautiful girl'' he said with a smile
She blushed and turned to him '' thank you'' she said with a smile .
They were near to each other. Edward really wanted to kiss those pinky lips with that gloss but April stepped back
'' I need to go, the ball is for my honor so I don't have to be late '' she said with a smile
''They can wait '' he said with a smirked. ''We can stayed here for a moment... alone ... just both of us.... '' he added approaching her slowly
''No!!'' She said nervously . She then began to shout the name of Anabis 3 times and finally she came. Anabis helped her to hold the dress and they went out leaving Edward in April room .

The ball took place in the throne hall situated in the principal quarter which was the quarter of the king.
The hall was very large . The decorations was just magnificent. Chandeliers was very beautiful, Red carpet almost every where in the hall,flowers of all types inside the hall.
They were many guests.
As April just entered ,the noise stopped and everyone was looking at her . The king approaches her and kissed the back of her hand
''My people, My friends ,this is the new princess of the kingdom of Escalior. Princess April!'' He Said and all of them applaud.
The king and her walked together and when to the sitting throne.
Now that April has be presented to everyone the ball could start now .
The king Solomon presented April to the kings and Queens of the five important kingdoms. The king of the last kingdom was not present because he was in conflict with Escalior kingdom.
April who was tired went and took a cup of wine and left the king Solomon with his friends , she wondered why Edward was not still there.
''April,i have to present to you someone really important '' the king said almost dragging April ''He came late but he's finally here'' he added with a smile
They reached where the man was ''this is my best friend , brother and a partner to this kingdom '' Solomon said with a smile
The man turned to them. When April saw the face of the man in question she wanted to faint .
''Sir Laurent Claudus '' he added
« This is not possible ! » « No no no » she thought
'' Laurent I present to you April beckinsale,the mate of prince Edward '' said the king
'' Glad to meet you'' he said ''she's very beautiful '' he added with a smile . Taking her hand and kissing it but April hand was shivering
'' th... the pleas.... pleasure is mine '' she stammered
'' Have you hear about him in the village ?''Solomon asked to April
April try very hard to control herself not to fall and cry
''Yes !he is an important man to the kingdom '' she replied
'' Yes and he is my best friend ,I trust him more than my life ''he said laughing
'' Don't exaggerates Solomon '' said sir Laurent with a big smile
And they both laughed
''Excuse me,I need to take some air'' she said and she rushed to the direction of the balcony

« How can this be possible, sir laurent is the king best friend and he trust him so much » « I cannot have enough power more than him then!! » « I can't ordered him to liberate my father even though I'm prince wife » « So marrying a Prince was of no use , »
All those thoughts was in April's head . She wanted to cry , scream,hit someone
'' I'm cursed!!!'' she said overwhelmed by the situation
''Hehe!! You're an intelligent girl'' someone said
April turned to the voice and saw Sir laurent with mischievous smirked
''Marrying one of the prince to get more power and money, that was a good idea'' he leaned on a pillar '' but as you can see it is of no use, because I still have much power than you and I'm the king best friend I'm like his brother so I don't think if you talked to him about our deal he will help you'' he added with a smirked
April pressed her dress .
'' Don't also think that because you're now a princess you can easily get that huge amount of money. No you can't !! '' he laughed in a devilish way
''So hurry up, you're left with 1month and a half. '' he approaches near her ''You know what will happened ..... Our deal'' he said making as if he will touched her hairs
''Which deal are you talking of?'' Someone Asked
April gasped hearing the person voice!!
