บท 82: Betray Him

The morning dawned and Skyla's eyes opened when the initial rays of the sun hit her face. She awakened to find Doran was already up, dressed and having his usual cup of coffee on her divan.

The only thing she had seen blackest than that coffee he drank was his heart. He tentatively took a sip and patted the place next to him before ordering in an unperturbed and placid tone.

"Come and sit with me."

Skyla's anxiety rose through the roof and her heart beat so fast that she thought it would burst. That calm tone she understood too well, it always followed by a wrecking storm which always turned her life upside down.

She was frozen on the bed watching him with fearful eyes.

"Skyla, I don't like to repeat myself." The shift in his tone was slight and yet she didn't want to test the waters.
