Karu notices something on a wanted board. "What's this?" Karu takes the paper and reads it, "Adventurers wanted? New quests. Payment, up to 100 GP!?" Fushu gasps, 'With that many gold pieces, I could buy a whole bar!' Karu turns to Fushu, "So I'm guessing that's the place..."
Karu points to a building with a sign that reads, Quest Inn. "Let's go get that gold!" Fushu runs inside the building. Karu walks into the building. "Woah, there's a lot of people in here..." Karu looks around as he enters the building. "They're just adventurers like us..." Fushu glances around, "...But I'll bet you that some of them are inexperienced."
Fushu: 'Ugh! I can smell the weaklings, it's nauseating!'
"Ah welcome new adventurers!" An attendant waves at Fushu and Karu. "Alright, so where's that gold and how can we get 'em?" Fushu runs up to the attendant. "Well, are you two adventurers?" The attendant asks Fushu as she looks at Karu. "Yeah we are, don't you see it in our clothing?" Fushu groans.
Attendant: 'So the older one is a barbarian, but I don't know who's the younger one supposed to be, maybe a fighter?'
"Yes, but you two don't seem to be licensed adventurers..." The attendant looks into a list. Fushu's jaw drops, "Wait what do you mean?" The attendant looks around the room, "...So in the meantime, both of you will be paired up with..." The attendant points to three people, "...Them!"
Fushu: 'You gotta be kidding me! I won't be able to get my 100 gold pieces!'
"Please can you look back into that list of yours, I think I am a licensed adventurer." Fushu whimpered as he turned back to the attendant. "Okay, name?" The attendant looked at the list.
"Fushu."
The Attendant looked into the list, "There's nobody here named Fushu." Fushu gasps, "Can you try again?" The attendant sighed, "If you want, I could call the guards since you are not being cooperative." Fushu groans and turns to the three people.
"Hello, I'm Karu..." Karu opened his hand for a handshake, "...I hope that we can be good teammates."
Fushu: 'He's already getting acquainted with them?!'
"Hello Karu, I'm Ryuu..." Ryuu shakes Karu's hand, "...And she's Tomiko and he's Toke." Karu smiles, "Hello!" Ryuu notices Fushu behind Karu, "And who's that guy?" Fushu grins, "I am The Great Fushu! Slayer of evil and anything alike!" Fushu extends his hand for a handshake.
"Uh-huh..." Ryuu shakes Fushu's hand, 'Damn how strong is this guy?!' Ryuu stops shaking Fushu's hand and flexes his hand. "Handshake?" Fushu turns to Tomiko and Toke.
Karu: 'So Ryuu is a fighter, using a longsword and a shortsword. Tomiko is a ranger with a longbow. and Toke seems to be a rouge, but I don't know what he has for a weapon.'
Fushu looks at Karu, "Hey you alright wizard boy? You look like you're planning something." Ryuu gasps, "Wait Karu is a wizard?" Fushu glances at Ryuu, "Yeah, and a good one at best!" Ryuu smiled, "I guess we're lucky to have a barbarian and a wizard in our group!"
Fushu: 'Oh now they're going to take advantage of us just because we're special!'
Karu notices Fushu making an angry face, "Please calm down Fushu..." Karu turns back to Ryuu, "...So do we have a quest to do?" Ryuu takes out a piece of paper, "Well there's... Goblin extermination..." Karu raises a brow, "Why do you say that like if that's the last thing you want to do?"
"...It's because goblins have been slowly on the rise, while higher class adventurers get to fight tough and cool opponents we're left to clean up under the rug..." Ryuu looks down to the ground, "...It's not fair, why can't they clean up everything in one sweep?" Karu gets a furious look on his face, "Well then we'll have to teach them..." Ryuu looks up at Karu. "...To take responsibility as a hero!"
Ryuu: 'That determination... I haven't had that feeling in months, since my brother was killed by goblins. My brother was like that, wanting to prove people wrong... But why... Why did he had to leave me?'
"Alright, let's go finish this quest." Ryuu holds back his tears. "Actually, do you guys even have a cart or something?" Fushu puts his hand on the back of his head. "No, we usually go to places with backpacks on our backs." Tomiko giggles. "Well then worry not, The Great Fushu is here to provide you safety!" Fushu grins. The team follows Fushu to his cart.
"After I slew Mahonia the sorceress, I used my reward money to get a bigger cart for extra storage and more space for passengers..." Fushu brushes the manes of the horses, "...I already had Flasy as my trusty steed, but now that I got another horse we should get to our destination at sunset!"
Everyone gets on the cart. "Ready?" Fushu looks back as he grabs onto the rope. "Yes!" Ryuu, Tomiko, Toke and Karu nod. "Then let's ride! Ya!"

-A few hours later, nearing sunset-
----------
As everyone talks to each other, Karu reads his spellbook. 'I guess I can use fireball, depends on how big the place is... besides, goblins aren't anything special other than they're just slimes but with knives and tiny bows...' Karu puts his hand on his chin. "For being a wizard, you concentrate a lot." Ryuu looks at Karu.
"Hm? Well for a wizard, it's essential to study your spellbook..." Karu closes his spellbook, "...You wouldn't want to go into a fight unprepared, would you?"
"Man, you look like a kid, but you word things like an old wizard." Toke laughs. Karu looks into the woods with a frown. "Karu you okay? Was it something I said?" Toke stammered. "No, It's okay." Karu tries his best to smile.
Fushu: 'Nobody can fool me if they try to sneak... I know that something's out there, maybe Karu could've sensed it as well..."
Fushu stops the horses as he can hear distant twigs break. "What happened Fushu?" Ryuu asks as Fushu gets down from the cart. "Get ready..."
