I stare up at the golden intricacies that have woven a sense of regalia into the beige ceiling of the room. Even in the gold hue of the designs, today, I see the gold of his eyes, of his ichor. My mind is numb, and I suppose that I'm only going through the motions of the time that flows by.

The soft sound of the shower is silenced and not long after, there is the soft noise of the bathroom door opening and closing. I do not make any attempts to get up from my relaxed, laid-back - literally - posture on the bed. Not until his hand skims up the bare skin of my knee, and a shiver travels right up my skin, flesh and bones.
